Alex has been entertaining fellow contestants with a Houdini act.

He used the string, scissors and paper for party hats which were provided for Sophie's 25th birthday.

Alex was wrapped in string and blankets by Spencer for the trick.

"Don't worry, I used to be in the circus," he joked.

"I was a chimpanzee."

He escaped in only 10 seconds before the secret of the trick was revealed - he had scissors hidden under the blankets
