I'm working on another video which might be of interest for those on here who missed it back in April.
If put together a video of my day on This Morning. I've just got it within the limits of YouTube at 9 mins 56 Sec.
It's currently encoding but it's worth remembering the last video that was just inside the limit took almost 2 hours before it was available.
I make it a private video but that link will be here.
The original recording was onto DVD in the works workshop but you'll notice a lot of ghosting on the signal so hopefully DivX doesn't do anything strange because of it. Final clip size is looking to be around 61500KB.

Once uploaded I'll post the link.

I took the other from the code they gave to embed in into a webpage as the normal like wasn't give. But on the 'my videos' page it says to email or use the above link on a webpage.
Let me know if it still doesn't work and I'll change the status of the clip.

I'm still getting the "private video" message with that link too larry.

OK the last link will work now as I've made the video public. Looks like I have to set-up a contact list for those who have access to the it if the video is set to private.

I've already subscribed. I can supply a couple of references if they'd like.

I won't be back online for about 5 hours now. Maybe someone can tell YouTube it's safe to allow the public access during that time.

Looks to be working now. Just clicked the link on a PC that isn't Logged in to Youtube and it loaded and started playing.

There are a few quirks with YouTube which I'm sure I'll get the hang of.
The worst is the time they take to make videos available. Not sure if it's due to user levels ? Think they are US based so when the US is awake it might take longer.

If you've seen the Summer Images thread in the General Chat section you can see that it one thing I like doing.

I've got that picture they used in the studio but so far we haven't found a frame big enough.

If they run the competition again next year I'll send in some more pictures. I like taking part in these competitions as it's a challenge. I've only got one first place so far but a couple of seconds and a third. Just getting placed in a large competition is a good result.

Great to see the clip, Larry. I was disappointed I missed it on This Morning. Well done.

Thanks GG. I remembered a few saying they'd missed it at the time so when I found the recording at work thought I'd have a go at transferring it. I think there is a clearer recording somewhere on VHS that my parents recorded but as the one from work was on DVD is was a lot quicker to work with.

I have to say that when your up against a picture with a heart pulling subject and a good story you'd have to have something exceptional to beat it. Still it was an interesting day and everybody got on well so as I said off camera as the final five of us had beaten over 7500 others we had all done very well indeed to to make the final but at the end there had to be just one winner and it was the public to had that choice. Left to others there might have been 5 winners.

I'd love to know which event the winner got to go to with Arthur. He is such a normal down to earth person it must be an interesting day to go on a photo shoot with him as you pick up so many good points to improve your techniques.
