*hugs Lyns* Cheers Matey, it freaked me out loads, i was only driving at 20mph, on a dark road, at half past ten at night on the way to clubbing. Real bad, hit a barbed wire fence, few scratches on my car but no dents. We got stuck in the mud, or otherwise the car would have toppled into a ditch, we were so lucky, I dont know how we managed to get out of it unhurt, two cars stopped and one towed me out, They were such nice men, they said they would rather wait until someone we knew turned up so we felt safer. They could have been anybody, but we had to trust someone, my mates brother turned up anyway as soon as he could.

Sorry to hear about your accident Niki.

I have had a few car problems in my time and EVERY time some man or another was there to help..bles them all. One man even came out of his house and changed my wheel for me after a puncture.
Who said chivilry was dead?
Or was it that I looked so pathetic and didn't know what I was doing :-?

Glad you are ok....the cars can be sortrd out but you are precious ()^

Really sorry to hear about your accident Niki. It must have really shook you up. Has it put you off driving at all? At least you are not physically harmed, but the shock of it must be bad.

Hiya, Thanx everyone.

It has put me off driving Christine, I will only drive to work and home, I will not go out any other time in the car, i wont even drive to the shop down the road, im like some sort of robot when im in the car now. My friend wants to take me to where the accident happened, but I am still very shaky when i think about it. I also have trouble trusting my car, it was nothing to do with the car, or my driving, the road hadnt been used for a long time and had some sort of layer of mud and leaves, not many people use that part of the road anymore, i was extremely lucky to get help. It just freaked me out a bit.

 aaaaaaawwwwwww Niki :-( That must be terrible.
You'll snap out of it soon though I bet and be driving 80mph down the motorway in the fast lane, squirting your window washers at all the cars behind that dare to flash you!!! ()^

Sorry to hear about your accident, If the driving conditions were bad try not to dwell on it too much [I know it's hard] but if it wasn't your fault then you have to make yourself get back into driving again. I'm sure you can do it ()^

Don't forget to phone your local council and give them an ear bashing [always makes me feel better]

Hope you'll be feeling happy again soon.

Niki so sorry to hear about the accident, but I do know what you are going through, had a ver bad accident a few years ago was v lucky to get out of car in one piece, I was very wary of driving for ages and very cautious when I did drive...its just shock, in a bit you will be back to normal again.

I had no choice but to drive everyday afterwards as I had to travel for the job I was doing, its best to just get in the car and go for a few drives when you dont have to go anywhere in the evening or anytime you have a spare hour. Just have a slow drive about and get used to being in control of the car again.

I think the thing that scares you the most is the fact that it brings it home that you arent this little indistructable person in a machine that you have perfect control over...you'll get there babe believe me.

cheerz babe, at the moment i will only drive to and from work, i wont take passengers (my best mate was in the car with me when it happened)

Im taking my time when i drive, i dont trust corners. People still tailgate me, i spose they dont know i was in an accident, and HD, yes, they get squirted, just so they back off!!

I will get there, im just wary of driving in the dark, i even leave work earlier so i am not driving in the dark, thats how bad it is at the moment. Im sure it will be OK.

It will get better babe, I was in an accident in day the other car smashed into the drivers side wing, had a door almost molded on me, luckily it didnt trap my legs but scared me shitless. (wasnt my fault btw, posh toff in new merc overtaking a bus on a tiny road he didnt spot me, had to swerve off road to avaoid head on)

It took a while to get my confidence back up but you get there.

I bet it is really scary. I was spooked last night as I was driving home. Some idiot pulled out in front of my on a quiet dark road and proceeded to drive on the wrong side  He/she pulled over ON THE WRONG SIDE to let me past... and then carried on. All the way home I'm thinking... what if someone comes in the opposite direction? I was going to phone the police when I got home but he/she could have been anywhere by then.

POOR NIKI!!!
*HUG*

I was involved in an accident the day after my 18th, a "friend" was driving me home along the toll road which is a cliff road with a sheer drop to one side which drops to rocks and the sea - theres woods on the other, he was in a piss cos I'd pulled some bloke down here on holiday, apparently the friend fancied me and I never knew!!!! Far too ugly for me though!!! He was driving like an idiot and we took a corner too fast, spun round 2 times and came off the road the front wheels were on the bank and the back 2 were hanging off the edge of the cliff....

We jumped out (me in bestest shortest clubbing dress) and had to walk 2 miles to the nearest phone box which had a drunk bloke asleep in so we had to go further still to the next one....It was 4am and I rang my dad and he and mum came to pick us up, when they drove past the car hanging off the road mum cried her eyes out (BLESS HER)!!!

Dad went back up to the road with a neighbour and the lad's dad but they couldnt shift it, then one of my school mates brother drove by off his head on god knows what and he just jumped in and moved it for them!

Needless to say I never had anything to do with the idiot again!!!
