I am taking part in a sponsored event in Aberdeen which involves learning to play a new instrument - and then passing your Grade 1 Associated Board exam - in ten weeks.

Just for your info- my first study is piano (I do actually have a degree in Music) and I also play two woodwind instruments SO I had to choose a string instrument for it to be valid....and I chose the cello - which I would LOVE to be able to play properly as it makes such a lovely sound. (not like me at the moment sadly)

I would so appreciate you making a wee donation towards my efforts if you felt inclined. It's the children who will benefit from my efforts rather then me (or my neighbours)

I think I would make anyone whose favourite instrument is cello cry at the moment. It is nae a bonny sound - but it is steadily improving

I am about to post a photo of me practicing (loose term) on the justgiving website and thanks again to all you peeps who have been able - I am so chuffed already.
