Singer Injured In TV Show
Waveguide - Miss DynamiteSinger Ms Dynamite spent last night in hospital after having a high-speed car crash while recording Sky One's reality show The Race.
Fellow contestant Brian Johnson, of rock group AC/DC, clipped the back of her car at Silverstone sending it spinning out of control.
The London-born R&B star, 25, was treated at the track's medical centre and was said to have been conscious.
She was later taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
A Sky One spokesman said the collision yesterday afternoon sent Ms Dynamite's Formula Ford spinning down the track for about 50 metres before it came to a halt.
Ms Dynamite, who shot to fame with her debut album A Little Deeper in 2002, was the second person to be injured during the reality show.
On Tuesday, Ingrid Tarrant was treated by paramedics at Silverstone after flipping a truck upside down.
The week-long competition, which finished yesterday, saw two five-strong teams of men and women competing on the racing circuit under the guidance of Formula One stars David Coulthard and Eddie Irvine.
The Sky spokesman said: "We take health and safety very seriously and cover it from every angle.
"We would not let them take part unless we were satisfied with the level of competence they were at and all the necessary safety measures were in place."
