Very thought provoking. However, you have to wonder how much of the problems in Africa are down to politics/attitudes in Africa itself

True, but still, it's bad luck for a baby born into a life of such poverty.

In my daughters' school, they have one day a year when it's suddenly 'World Game' day. On the way into school in the morning, everyone is allocated a continent or nationality. Depending on what they're given, they could spend the day in comfort, or misery. No 'justice', just like real life for many children.
