Anyone think that firefox is better than IE? tbh I was a bit skeptical when I downloaded first. But now I'm totally won over. It's more userfriendly and has loads of cool features especially the tabbed browsing and a few of the entensions are pretty handy too. I'm in love @^@ ::lol:: So what do you think?

I've used it for months, and I like it way better than IE. I've also heard it's safer, don't know the facts though. I just like using it more.

Hi Brian, I've been using Firefox (and its earlier incarnations) for about 4 years now and only go back to IE at work (company policy) or to view certain sites that aren't designed for it.

It is a slightly safer browser but mainly because virus writers continue to target IE as that has more users (and the more holes). The good thing about Firefox is that it's open source, which means that anyone can scrutinise the code and spot vulnerabilities, notify the publishers, who seem to act fast on releasing new versions. It's a better browsing experience too - IE seems so dated by comparison!

The main positive thing about firefox is the popup blocking and more importantly the Adblock extension - it makes browsing the web bearable again - the difference in the official BB site (for example) is amazing with all the flashing moving stuff disabled it's so much more readable.

No......the main positive thing about Firefox is how ClintEastwood managed to get past Russion security and fly off with their new warplane!
