Reversal of Fortune
Mark and Karen talk about their Ballroom blitz on Saturday.
In the training room, Mark and Karen have been speaking about how they unexpectedly dazzled with their Ballroom routine, while they floundered in their Latin.
Karen was especially happy they'd gone out and showed that Mark could master a Ballroom dance.
"Saturday was great for me as it was our mission to master the Ballroom and we got four nines," she said.
"I was pleased to get the evening off to a good start with the Waltz," agreed Mark.
But while they were please with their Waltz, Mark was less than happy with his Jive - and in particular the negative comments it received from Craig.
"With Craig there isn't much middle ground and in the Jive there were a lot of things that were right, a five was harsh," he argued, adding, "I haven't looked back at the Jive yet, but I felt agile and didn't feel flat-footed."
Both discussed getting through to the final, with Mark his usual level-headed self about the possibility.
"It's a strong competition in the semi finals, the final is just round the corner. We're all suffering from tiredness, we need staying power to get over the last hurdle," he said.
Karen is more determined and said that right from the start she's had her eyes on the prize.
"The moment I agreed to come back after series three, I've been gunning for the final," she said.
"I've had an amazing journey with Mark, he's an amazing guy, I'd like to top all that by taking the trophy home."
