What are everyone's plans for 2007? I don't like the term New Years Resolutions as it puts pressure on you to do things which, as a result, rarely get done but what are people hoping for for the coming year?

1) My first aim is get some money behind me. All too often, and even at this minute in time, I've been absolutely flat broke and it's horrible. Now though, I've got a job which pays better than any job I've had before and I've got something to save for. I'm gonna be putting money aside each month so that in the not too distant future, I can move out of here and get my own place. It's not that I don't like living here, I do, but I'd love my own place where I don't have my evil sister and my Dad around all the time.

2) My second aim, actually, it might be my first aim but nevermind, is to make the most of my improved self confidence. I'm not gonna make any excuses but I've been a right miserable ******* this year, like every other year and it's time it stopped. I plan on going out more now that I might be able to afford it and just enjoying my life. My Mum talks a load of old rubbish but one line she used to drill into me has only just sunk in "Life isn't a rehearsal" so hopefully that starts this coming year. Hopefully, while I'm at it, I might meet someone I like but the overall aim is to just enjoy 2007. I don't, come January 2008, want to say, well thank God that years gone.

I only have a couple of plans:

#1 Be successful in my new job
#2 Stay happy

Everything else will fall into place if I achieve those! I never usually make a big deal out of new year but I feel genuinely excited about next year.

Other than passing 1st year at uni I think I'm just going to see how things go.

I was thinking about this driving down the motorway today.

I think my plans and resolutions for this year are:
- to appreciate what and who I have, especially my friends and my family.
- to take opportunities and see life as an adventure
- to be phenomenal! (with thanks to gg and ellie for inspiring that one!)

Feel much more positive about planning those kind of things than losing weight/going to the gym etc.

Happy New Year all
