::lol:: I must've read over a thousand books but 99% of them are just trashy pulp fiction, nothing intellectual other than a Gore Vidal once that wasn't nearly as good as I thought it would be!) and a few melodramatic Victorian writers. I don't see why 'popular' books should be seen as less worthy than the 'classics!' :roll: Imo, the purpose of a book is to entertain or educate the reader and make money for the writer... Simple!

Edit: I haven't actually read a thousand books this year! :eek: (I didn't read the thread title properly... :oops:)

I mean a thousand books ever in my life... :oops:

I smell, skive work and have no social life. However I never read during sex which probably explains why I've read so much this year.
