Ok. Can everyone have a good laugh first
Now that is over and done with I need some help.
I have an Apple Laptop. On New Years Eve, around 4am and after a few too many sherberts, I decided it would be a good idea to send an email, picked up my laptop which had it's charger attached, dropped it and stood on the charger (the bit that goes into the laptop) with high heels on. When sober, I saw that the end of the charger was badly buckled, so took a pair of pliers to it and tried to straighten it out. It seemed to work and the laptop still recharged, albeit only whilst lying on it's side with a heavy book on top lol. Anyway last night, it wouldn't charge at all, so whilst it was still plugged in to the electric socket (I know, I know

), I took the pliers and a screwdriver to it. Sparks flew

and I got a small electric shock from it. I plugged it into the laptop (after I picked myself up from the floor) to see if it would work.

It wouldn't.
Today I went to the Apple shop (and yes I should have done this in the first place) and got a new charger, came home, plugged it in, tried to switch my laptop on and absolutely zilch. Now it still had about 10 minutes of charge in it, before I decided to play at being an electrician, so should have gone on, even if the charger wasn't working, but nada.
My question is (getting to the point at last), would plugging in the duff charger have knackered the laptop or is it possibly unrelated and can anyone tell me if there is anything I can do, before I have to go back to the apple shop and have them fall about laughing at me, at my complete ditziness.
Any advice (apart from 'don't do it again or similar' would be much appreciated.
