All is not happy in pantoland.

A reader booking tickets for the Glasgow Pavilion show Peter Pan, starring Cameron Stout reads under booking conditions: "Babies being fed and winded, please ensure that when winding your child every effort is made to avoid your baby being sick. We have had numerous complaints from customers who have had their evening wasted due to babies being sick over them.

"Babies crying must be removed from the auditorium as quickly as possible.

"Please do not argue with staff if you are requested to remove your baby from the auditorium - they will only be considering other patrons when asking you to do this.

"Arguing with staff only disrupts other members of the audience and will lead to you being removed from the premises."

Phew. And that's only nursing mothers. Goodness knows what happens to really disruptive customers.

my wee sis and I had a GREAT time at the Panto on Saturday night -- we were waving our glittery flashing wands with the best of them {@}

Found it a bit disturbing tho that our front row seats meant we could see the Dame's pants for most of the show  wasnae the best.....

Cam was an entirely believable Peter Pan which made up for it - the flying was ace and we were well impressed. It must have been a hard job with all the women fawning over him - but he managed admirably ;)
I did find it a bit difficult to cope with all the v strong Glaswegian accents - a la River City - would take me a while to get used to it.

anyway - all in all, a great night out and a great weekend away shopping, eating and catching up with my mate :D

*catch it if you can*

Isn't the principle boy usually played by a young girl in panto? Is there something you aren't telling us Cameron?

I think perhaps sometimes more artistic license is used in Scotland...

So if you are breaking with tradition is Wendy played by Julian Clary then?

PETER PANTASTIC
Big Brother star flies high in the Pavilion panto.
Pirates funnier than Johnny Depp impersonating Keith Richards; more lost boys than you will find on a stag night in Prague; mermaids; talking dogs and flying boys.
These and more are all part of The Magical Adventures of Peter Pan, the pantomime now up and flying at the Pavilion.

For those reality TV fans who enjoyed/endured Big Brother, Cameron Stout appears as Peter, the boy who refused to grow up. For a Glasgow audience, the Orkney accent is rather exotic, almost a foreign language, but it is ideal casting because likeable Cameron gives the impression he is still fighting hard against the forces of adulthood.
The former fish worker (sighhhhhh - Ed.) who went on to become a panto star in Aberdeen, will find himself working with two of television soap River City's most popular characters.

Saw the panto the other day and felicity pretty much summed it up the other week! Peter Pan isn't a panto I've liked before but that was really brilliant and I thought the cast did a superb job.

Had a couple of favourite bits but know there's someone else wanting to see it so won't ruin the surprise.

Was there with a few people from my extended family and there was quite an age range and everyone seemed to like it, lots of fun just as a panto should be.

Well done Sir Peter!

(but I'm not a ned, ya muppet! ::lol:: )

Varies, CT, but one interpretation is "non-educated delinquent".

A ned is pretty much what you'd know as a chav with a few "unique" Scottish qualities.

Obviously a very complimentary thing to be pointed out as in the middle of a pantomime ::lol::
