I got a pair of Homer Simpson slippers from my sister about 4 years ago, and they've hardly been off my feet since. Not the most expensive present ever obviously, but that isn't what Christmas is about!!

Blimey, there are quite a few actually but seeing as I'm not that old yet, I'll name two I rank up there, first one aged 11 and second one aged 16 (does that count as a childhood memory?)

First one was when I captained my primary school football team against the league leaders and the rival school and we won 6-0 with me scoring 5 of the goals.

Second one was also a sporting event when at about 16, it should have been something quite different ::lol::

Again, I was chosen to be captain, this time of my local cricket club where I'd spent the majority of the last 10 years and that season, I managed to take a hattrick with the trophy still on show behind the bar at the club to this day. I also took two awards at the end of the season, those being the coach's player of the year award and the leading wicket taker award. This in turn led me to represent the borough and get invited to train with Lancashire CCC for 6 weeks.

NYF achievement
