Thats why I hadnt been for a long time BUT Cos I DONT HAVE TO HAVE ANY THING DONE did I tell you that???.... check ups are free...plus Paul is on Den-plan (I dont need to go on that cos I have perfect teeth...did i tell you??) and he's probably their best customer cos he grinds his teeth so they're all cracked (he's got about 5 gold ones cos they dont ware so much I HATE THEM) it's a shame cos he's got absolutely perfectly straight perfectly white teeth but he's ruined them through grinding 'em. His last bill shouldve been about £600 but cos he's on den-plan it only cost about £150 ish

whoopsidaisy

Had very bad experiences at dentists as a child, finally got over my fear at the age of 25....that's when I finally managed to go without my mum

I was lucky and found a really nice one who understood.
I had some right evil ones before that.....one old bloke told me ''get out my chair'' cos I was crying....and he said ''I had open heart surgery and I didn't cry''. B'stard. I felt silly enough as it was being about 22 and with my mum there.
I wouldn't have minded having a filling if I had been put to sleep....just couldn't stand the drill.....but about 2 years ago I had a filling with no injection! hurrah!

*CLAPS*

Well done...I know it takes guts to go back if you've had a tough time...

mum found one who offered to put her out for any work, but wouldnt tell her what it was he used or how much of it...so she never bothered! She then found one who was really understanding but he retired last year and she's never been back since!!!

awwwww

Well I moved but still carried on going to the same one til about 3 years ago, I built up my confidence to change to another, but he is also really nice and understanding.
I never managed to find one that would put you out for a filling though.
I can handle injections, having teeth pulled out, but it's the drill I hate..it's that horrible feeling you get when you accidently bite silver paper on a kit kat.....*shudders* even the injection doesn't stop that, but I've only had to have little ones since I've gone regularly, and they always say to put your hand up if it hurts and they'll give you some more injection.
I really must go before I get a toothache for Christmas
