wow, larry - can't even compete with that.

But the four cars I have had, I have loved:

A white C-reg Ford Fiesta, my first car, which I then wrote off

A silver Ford Fiesta through my college years, though can't remember the reg.

A leased silver-blue Peugeot 106 for the first three years of my job.

The infamous green Beetle, although regretting getting a 2litre slightly as its eating me out of house and home...

(But I'm still keeping it) @^@

I've not had many cars, as I only learned to drive when I was 29.

My first one was a nippy little red nova, pmpl.

Then I had a white metro (the shame of it, hehe).

Since then I've had 3 Clios - red, silver and blue.

My first car which was a silver metro which didn't have very good brakes so I couldn't do an emergency stop, just an emergency slow down and I couldn't wind down the passenger window as it wouldn't wind back up.

Second car, which was a red shiny one, fiesta or something and was chosen purely on the basis of it's redness, it's shininess and the fact that it had a window which could be wound down.

Next one was some kind of Rover, red again lol, chosen as I liked all the wood on the dashboard.

Next was a black bmw, which I didn't have for long as I thought it was a bit of a w***ers car, so couldn't wait to get shot.

Next was a Jeepy kinda thing, red again, chosen because I wanted to sit high up.

Then a red Vauxhall Zafira, practical with the babies.

And my latest which is a black Chrysler grand voyager or my 'womb on wheels' as I like to call it.

I'm so technical. Aren't I?

The cars would be a lot if they had all made it make on the road. I bought a lot of old classics that needed in some cases a lot of work and the tin worm bet me on a few occasions .I also built a race Mini from a bare shell which was traded for another Mini without me finishing it.

Just thought ,I've missed off a Vandanplas Metro automatic which was registered in my name although I didn't own it but drove it for a while. And an MG Metro I bought for £85 with a rebuilt engine and gearbox which later donated the engine for the 'C' reg Mini which used to eat SRi Novas. Great fun quick ,economical (34MPG) and cheap insurance (group 5) what more could you want ? Oh I know comfort ,can't have everything.

Oh and my first Mini after getting my license got wrote off with a spectacular multi-axial roll which I'm sure has been mentioned before.

Trying to remember when I passed my test as I've been driving since I was 18 (22 years) ,failed my first test at 19 then I passed in the 90's but I'd have to dig out by paper license to find the year. After 2 motorbike crashes it was thought best I stuck with 4 wheels.

Ace thread larry.

My first car was a 1976 MG - then bought a Rover Maestro Advantage (the one with the MG bodykit and wheels but not the engine) to use on rainy days. It was one of the comfiest cars I've ever owned.

my first car was an E-reg red Orion called Brian - my Granny bought him for me and I loved him @^@ (he got written off after someone bashed him in the street outside my house :-( )

next was a red Rover called Henry - cylinder head gasket went on him

then I had a white Citroen Xsara - I had stopped naming my vehicles by then  and she got traded in for my current method of transport:

a black Focus Zetec with lovely heated seats, 6CD changer etc

- I love it {@}

*I hope you are impressed with my ability to remember not only the colour, but the make and model too  *

My first car was a red Vauxhall Viva (with one green door) Called it the tank!

Second was a yellow Mini Metro. (Hewy) I absolutely hated it and traded it in after just one month.

Third was a burgundy Ford Orion (Bessie) Loved this car only got rid of it after eight years when it just got too old to be cost effective.

Fourth was a powder blue Peugeot 205. (no name) like the Metro didn't take to this car and only had it about a year.

Fifth was a dark blue Rover (Betsy) It had a honder engine and was a really good car and only had to sell it after getting pregnant and needing a car with 3 full backseat seatbelts.

Present car is blue Renault Scenic (Bertie the bus) It took me a while to get used to the higher seat position but now I love it. It's economical, roomy and has good safety features. Really good car if you have 3 kids.

I have had two small motorbikes but not sure what they were ...think one was HP and the other Ke100.
