RUSSELL BRAND'S BATTLE OVER SEEDY SEX AND DRUGS BOOK
06/02/07
TELLY host Russell Brand has launched a legal fight to ban an explosive book detailing his seedy sex romps and battles against drugs and bulimia.

The unofficial biography lists his sordid sessions with a whole string of women, including prostitutes.

It claims the Big Brother’s Big Mouth host lost his virginity at the age of 16 to a Filipino hooker, booked for him by his dad.

The book also lifts the lid on his £100-a-day heroin addiction, as well as his struggle against the slimming disorder bulimia.

And it details his flings with celeb babes, including Big Brother stars Kate Lawler and Makosi Musambasi, both 26, as well as past conquests Russell would rather keep quiet about.

Russell Brand: Unleashed, Untamed, Unauthorized, by journalist Tanith Carey, is due to hit the bookshops on February 15.

But furious Brand, 31, is determined to block it – and not only because of its steamy content.

His official life story is due out later this year and he does not want the unofficial version to cash in.

Russell has met with his solicitors, Clinton’s, who have sent a letter to publishers Michael O’Mara demanding to see an early copy of the book.

A source said: “Russell is desperate to put the mockers on this new book. He’s even gone as far as sending a solicitor’s letter. If he gets a copy, he will go through it with a fine toothcomb.

“If there’s anything he can sue over, that seems to be the course he plans to take.

“He doesn’t want it taking readers – or their cash – away from his autobiography.

“And he’s certainly not comfortable with having every exploit in his life laid bare. There are some he’s not exactly proud of and would rather keep hidden from the world.”

Neither the publishing house – which was also behind Andrew Morton’s classic biography of Princess Diana – nor Brand’s solicitors would comment on the star’s possible legal action.

But an insider at the publisher admitted: “We’ve all seen this letter from Russell and it looks like he means business.”

And a spokeswoman for Russell confirmed yesterday: “He did ask to have an early copy of the book sent to him.”

Author Carey interviewed almost 100 friends, family and work colleagues of the hairy telly star for her £16.99 book – due out the day after Russell is set to present the Brit Awards.

It details how Russell lost his virginity to a Filipino hooker in a romp arranged by his dad Ron, now 63. The book reads: “Sweat-soaked and shaking, young Russell climbed into bed with the stunning Filipino vice girl.

“The 16-year-old Essex lad, destined to become one of Britain’s most notorious womanisers and outrageous comics, was about to be initiated into the ways of the flesh.

“Afterwards, as he ran his quivering hands over the prostitute’s perfect olive curves, she sighed with passion: ‘I must leave before I fall in love with you.’

“After treating his son to that night of debauchery in Hong Kong, Ron had more sex wisdom to impart next morning.

“Casually looking up from his paper, Ron asked if his son had used a condom. Russell said he hadn’t, to which Ron’s only response was to bark: ‘Well, you should have!’”

The book also gives details of Russell’s unhappy childhood – his parents split up when he was a baby and the three bouts of cancer his mum Babs, now 60, suffered.

The book claims that, as a porky teenager, Russell turned to drugs and became bulimic, vomiting up his food to stay slim.

He landed a place at the famous Italia Conti stage school, but by then was said to be taking drugs every day.

The book claims that he started on cannabis and moved on to amphetamines and acid, before graduating to crack and heroin.

Brand turned to stand-up comedy, which won him a role on MTV – and kickstarted his success with women.

He once said: “One woman in the morning, maybe two for lunch and three for tea. A good week would be at least 20 in various configurations.”

He then landed a top showbiz agent, who forced him into rehab after realising he had a £100-a-day drug habit.

Once clean, he won the job as host of Big Brother’s Big Mouth, plus his own Got Issues chat show.

He is now seeing Laura Gallacher, 19, sister of telly babe Kirsty, 31.

The book by Carey is the first of THREE on Brand due out this year. Mad, Bad And Dangerous To Know, published by John Blake, is set to hit the shelves on April 3.

And his official life story – for which Hodder & Stoughton forked out a whopping £500,000 advance – is due out in October.

But he has insisted he will NOT tell all about his sex sessions with celeb lovers – rumoured to have included model Kate Moss, 33 and glamour girl Abi Titmuss, 30.

Russell said: “I won’t say negative things about people. I will just be honest about me and that will be filthy enough.

“It’s four years since I came off heroin – I got through it by switching off the ego and concentrating on work. That will be in the book, too.”

Dusky Maidens - Big Brother's Russell Rand On Women & Danielle's Inner Shlipa

06.02.2007

“BRAND’S BIG BROTHER CELEB SEX BOOK – star tries to ban seedy biog.”

The Star’s front-page news is supported by a shot of Danielle’s Lloyd, the woman who is in Dubai catching the sun in a concerted bid to turn her skin brown and so get in touch with her inner Shilpa.

Meanwhile, in what the Sun calls “Big BRUV AFTERMATH”, books are being written. And one of these works details the life and times of Big Brother host Russell Brand.

This unofficial biography tells of Brand’s “sordid sessions” with women, including prostitutes, says the Star.

The claim is that the Big Brother presenter lost his virginity at aged 16 to a Hong Kong-based Filipino prostitute paid for by his dad Ron.

The book tells us: “Sweating and shaking, young Russell climbed into bed with the Filipino vice girl.” And... Go on... “The 16-year-old Essex lad, destined to be one of Britain’s notorious womanisers and outrageous comics, was about to be initiated in the ways of the flesh.”

This is the stuff. Who needs Jade Goody giving a balding Brummie oral sex on Big Brother 3, Makosi Musambasi polluting the Big Brother Jacuzzi and Jack Tweedy’s sticky sheets when you have this?

“Afterwards, he ran his quivering hands over the prostitute’s perfect olive curves, she sighed with passion: ‘I must leave before I fall in love with you.”

What Filipino hooker could help but fall for an inexperienced Essex local with teeth like an aroused King Charles spaniel?

And there are other flings. Amid the tales of Brand’s bulimia and his £100-a-day heroin addiction, are other Big Brother stars.

The book claims Brand has enjoyed flings with Big Brother’s Makosi, Kate Lawler and others Russell would rather keep quiet about” - until his own book comes out late this year.

The official Russell Brand biography will vie with the unofficial Russell Brand biography for sordid details.

Has Russell slept with Kate Moss? What about Abi Titmuss? And what about Danielle Lloyd?
