THANKS to the worldwide web, it's not just punters in Scotland who read this column. So, with this week marking the start of the Chinese Year of the Pig, can I just take this opportunity to say a big hello to Jade Goody.

By the way, 2002 was the Chinese Year of the Horse. But I bet they tried to tell us it was actually chicken.
