Paul's mum bought me this little silver minature tea set ornament thing from Harrods. She once gave me a present for my birthday and gave it to me in a harrods carrier bag and I said ''oooh Harrods'' (only the present wasn't from there) so she bought me something from there for Christmas.
I'm not ungrateful, but it was such a grannified present and has no business in my house!

maybe you should get her something you like and she will probably hate it.

My mum would actually tell me if she didn't like a present, in front of a room full of people :eek:

A "broken" umbrella from an ex partners mum years ago!
It was obviously second hand plus Ive never used an umbrella in my life!!!


The worst birthday present I ever had was NOTHING from the last bloke I lived with he said he hadnt had time to get anything...not even a card!! (TWO years running he did this)!!!!

Oh hang on I know.... :) my last ex got me something that was "so me".... it was a watercolour paint set and I've never painted in my life and can't draw to save my life ::lol:: Obviously a match made in heaven eh? ::lol::

Actually its a bit embarrassing cos we moved the sofa the other day and the stain just wont shift and I've gotta be out on the 20th!! The worst thing is the people buying mine are my best mate from school's brother inlaw and his wife so she'll think I havent tried to clean it...she knows how it got there, it's just really embarrassing cos it wont go!

When she comes round she runs her hand over the furniture looking for dust so you can imagine the **** shes gonna give me for that not being gone...it's not nice either is it

I hope they've got a sofa they can cover it with!!! ::lol::
