Brand won't say why he missed gig

COMEDIAN Russell Brand has refused to explain whether he pulled out of his Cardiff gig because he was watching football.
Despite several telephone calls asking if Brand would like personally to apologise to the fans he snubbed, his agent said that he "doesn't give interviews".
The television comic was criticised on the Echo's website.
One user said: "You sense that his ego is as large as his hairdo. Let him come back and see how much grovelling we can get out of him."
On website Myspace, one post brands the comic a liar, and demands he be honest about why he cancelled.
