DAVINA MCCALL EXCLUSIVE
By Debbie Pogue 21/03/2007

INSTEAD of waiting until she felt ready, Davina McCall caved in to pressure and had sex way too early.

Rather than it being a special moment, she threw her virginity away. And she bitterly regrets it.

"I lost my virginity at too young an age," admits Davina, speaking exclusively to the Mirror. "I won't say how young in case my granny is reading this!

Let's not talk about sex

Sex education puts subtle pressure on kids: if you aren't getting enough of it there's something wrong with you.

I wasn't going to bother responding to Davina McCall's polemic on sex education on Channel 4 last week. Then I saw AA Gill praising it in the Sunday Times and thought again. Gill, by the way, is the sort of critic who is so secure in his reputation for turning a witty phrase that he doesn't bother thinking very hard about anything difficult.

I read a very interesting article in another Sunday paper basically saying - 'what gives Davina the right to start telling schools what they should and shouldn't be teaching about sex education?'

I have to admit - I totally agreed with the article. Ok she's a mother, ok she's had sex - but how does she know what is done (and not done) in terms of this type of education in schools? And what is appropriate?

My biggest bugbear at the moment is schools being told by the government/media/so-called celebrities- you need more drugs/sex/health education in schools to combat what is going on in society......
what a load of bo@l%c$s!!!!!!!!! - there's plenty of quality stuff going on already. As teachers, we have NO CONTROL of what the kids get up to when they're not in school, and what we need is for parents to start taking more responsibility for:

a) where their children are at night
b) who they're with
c) how much money they have to play with etc etc etc

and generally setting a good example of what is acceptable behaviour and what is not.......

Sometimes people forget that children are only at school for 27.5 hours of the week (out of 168) - and our primary responsibilty to to teach them, not parent them............oh my word - I am on a RANT :8o: :8o:

()^ Brilliant RANT Felicity, why don't you pass it on the one of the 'Red Tops' as they may even publish it as one of their "EXCLUSIVES"

DAVINA'S NOT A SILLY WILLY
ON THE BOX
Paul English

SHOCKED to see Davina McCall surrounded by penises before the water-shed (Let's Talk Sex, C4, Friday).

Big Brother's host looked right at home.

Perhaps because she's made a living interviewing them on eviction night.
