Big Brother opening night recording drama

Mixed reports are emerging surrounding the recording of the Big Brother 2007 Opening Night.

Dramas are reportedly emerging from Dreamworld this evening, as recording of the Opening Night to Big Brother 2007 has been broadcast without authorization.

For the last four seasons, the opening night to Big Brother has been recorded twenty four hours in advance before being televised, with the ‘secrets’ not being revealed to the studio audience of the Saturday evening recording.

With this trend continuing, one Big Brother fan site has allegedly broken laws by providing live audio streams of the launch. On several occasions during the first hour of recording, Mike Goldman, a host of the Big Brother shows, has called for audio streams to be stopped, reminding the studio audience that recording of the opening night is a “criminal offence”, and offered audience members prizes to report anyone providing streaming to the internet.

With Network Ten and Endemol Southern Star being made aware of the streams, recording of the opening night has reportedly been stopped until those responsible have been removed.

It is believed that at the time of recording being temporarily halted, the first six housemates have been announced.

Inside the Big Brother house

BEING a Big Brother housemate drives you mad. I know this for certain after spending two claustrophic days in the BB house as a guinea pig for the show.

I wouldn't say I'm a Big Brother junkie but I've always been fascinated by it – the endless pool parties, alcohol on tap, sexy bodies, doona antics, bitchy banter and the naughty appeal of being watched.

So it wasn't a hard decision to take part in a two day Big Brother rehearsal with stand-in housemates last week – subjected to the same conditions as the regular contestants.

Fans breach Big Brother secrecy

BIG Brother has had more leaks than the Titanic this year thanks to technology and a few impatient fans.

Keeping information about the housemates confidential before last night's launch of season seven became an impossible task.
Former housemate Ryan "Fryzie" Fitzgerald named several of the contestants on Adelaide radio on Friday and fans somehow got hold of photos and bios on the "secret" 12 via the internet.

And the trend continued on Saturday night when the first episode was filmed.

Big Brother's back, prepare for torture

WHAT Big Brother 7 lacks in saucy bits this year with the axing of the late-night Uncut segment, it will make up for in psychological games.

The 12 housemates, who were introduced to the nation on the Ten Network's two-hour launch last night, have little idea what awaits them.

There is no promised $1 million prizemoney for a start, and washing their clothes with a pedal-powered machine will be a challenge.

More BB time for Shilpa?
Apr 23 2007

Shilpa Shetty is reportedly going back into the Big Brother house - but this time Down Under.

According to reports, the Bollywood actress will join the Australian version of the reality show.

She is flying to Australia next month to promote her new film Metro and programme bosses would like to involve her.

A spokesman for Australia's Channel Ten said: "We are trying to work out just how long she can spend in the house."

The show's executive producer Tim Toni said: "You have got to throw in a few hand grenades!"

He said he hoped her inclusion would "liven up" the house.

BOLLYWOOD babe Shilpa Shetty is going back into the Big Brother house – but this time Down Under.

She will join a gang of bizarre Bruces and shocking Sheilas in the Aussie version of the hit reality show.

And after her clashes with bully Jade Goody in Celebrity Big Brother, she will be thrown back into the firing line.

Aussie TV chiefs deliberately picked “unattractive” contestants.

And they are expecting fireworks when Shilpa, 31, walks in because the other girls will be jealous of her beauty.

Executive producer Tim Toni admitted Shilpa’s surprise guest appearance is designed to “liven up” the house.

And he confessed: “You have got to throw in a few hand grenades!”

Shilpa won Celebrity Big Brother in January after being made the target of racist bullying by Jade, 25.

But the Aussie housemates are also likely to test her composure.

One girl has obsessive-compulsive disorder and another is a chaste, tee-total Mormon.

Shilpa will fly to Australia next month to promote her new film Metro and will take time out to travel to the Big Brother house on the Gold Coast.

A spokesman for Aus-tralia’s Channel Ten confirmed: “We are trying to work out just how long she can spend in the house.”

Shilpa will not be the first Big Brother star from the UK to head Down Under.

BB 5 winner Nadia Almada, 30, made a guest appearance on the Aussie show three years ago.

And like the British Big Brother, the Aussie version – now in its seventh year – is no stranger to controversy. Two years ago MPs called for the show to be taken off air when a male contestant gave a girl housemate a massage with his willy exposed.

And last year two lads were kicked out of the house when one held a girl down in the bedroom while the other rubbed his privates in her face. dailystar
