Big Brother swearing disgrace

BIG Brother turned big blooper last night, with contestant Bodie dropping the "c" word during the daily show.

Viewers have complained to Sydney Confidential that despite warnings by political leaders and TV industry watchdogs, producers of the reality show had alleged failed to bleep out the offensive language, which went to air in an edited package of highlights from the first 24 hours of this year's series.

It also puts a question mark over the show's pledge to clean up its act this year.

Bodie, an electrical designer and part-time underwear model, told other housemates he was "dense c***" during the PG-rated program on Tuesday night.

The 23-year-old introduced himself to BB audiences on day one as an "undiagnosed ADHD sufferer," who likes "making a fool of myself, it doesnt matter if it makes me look stupid."

But a spokesman for Southern Star was unaware the expletive had aired when contacted today by Confidential.

Big Brother Web site seriously secure: Ten

Questions have been raised as to whether Big Brother's Web site is truly secure despite claims by Network Ten that subscribers' credit card details weren't compromised.

One IT professional and Big Brother member concerned about the possibility of his details falling into the wrong hands contacted ZDNet Australia today to express his displeasure.

Advertisers can stop Big Brother: Howard

Prime Minister John Howard says the reality television show Big Brother is "atrocious", but only broadcaster Network Ten and the advertisers can get it off the air.

Asked about a recent incident of swearing on the reality TV show, Mr Howard said it was not his business to censor the program.

"Well, I think Big Brother is an atrocious program, I said that last year and my view hasn't changed," Mr Howard told Southern Cross Broadcasting.

Aussie housemate is Big Fibber

A HOUSEMATE in the Australian version of Big Brother has been accused of lying on the show.

Thomas had boasted that he was an ex-basketball star and a hero who had rescued two drowning children.

But ex-wife Sarah blasted his lies on local radio station 2Day FM.

Shilpa Rules Out Oz Big Brother - April 27 2007

Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty has turned down an appearance on the Australian version of Big Brother, her agent Farhath Hussain said today.

Producers of the show wanted her to enter the house for a day or two to spice up the series which started last weekend.

Meanwhile, Hussain said that Shetty plans to open a number of curry houses throughout the UK.

"The flagship restaurant will be at central London," he said. "The work is moving very swiftly and final details are being chalked out."

The curry chain will be called Shilpa Shetty Dining Hall.

Old flame is x-factor on Big Brother

Melbourne couple Hayley and Andrew are among this year's Big Brother housemates.

They have been dating for a year, but have to keep their relationship a secret from the other contestants.

Among the other housemates is Billy, Hayley's former boyfriend. Andrew has not met him.

Billy's task in the house has been to woo Hayley – something that has not impressed her family.

"I think Big Brother's antics this year are a little bit questionable," Niki says.

Big Brother avoids a mass White Room walk-out

This afternoon, Big Brother was almost left with an empty White Room. Demet and Harrision decided that they wanted to press the red button and leave together. They began trying to convince Kara to do the same, "We came in together, we leave together!" Demet said. So Kara agreed and that was going to be that.

That is until Big Brother's voice boomed "Do you want to talk to Big Brother?", and Kara demanded "You make the rules, change something!". Big Brother then advised to the three wildcards that two days one of them will enter the main house and noone will go home empty handed. The wildcards agreed to stay. Phew, we almost had no White Room at all!
