Pretty harsh on both Jade and Kate. I don't think they deserve it quite as much as certain others...

It does seem harsh and ignorant in Kate's case
"But, apart from appear on reality TV shows, what does Kate Lawler actually do?"A very tiniest piece of research would have given an answer.I'd probably agree on Jade.

Definitely. It wouldn't have taken much to gather some decent info - all they needed to do was look here. It's not difficult. It is frustrating when some journos don't have up-to-date info - think how many people we read about in harsh terms when in actual fact the story may be poorly researched or inaccurate.

I personally don't give a rats **** what they say about Kate, you or other ex BB contestant’s. I like Cameron because I know you are anything but Z list. What is a concern of mine though is the damage they do to the ex housemate that is working hard at their chosen career and who does not court publicity by selling their family and private life to the lowest bidder, and there are more of them then the handful that warrant the Z list tag, imo.
It is sour grapes on the part of the journalist that write the nonsense if you ask me, it will take them a lifetime to earn anything near what the celeb they write about earns in a year, that will be after all the sucking up they have to do to keep their jobs and all the help they got from family or friends of the family who got them the job in the first place.

Should anybody really care about some predictable, misinformed comments on a obscure website? - I don't think so - in fact, I know so.

Let's face it, Big Brother is considered very lowly in the media - despite & because of the hype in the tabloids & seleb magazines - a point Kate carefully made in her Star interview last year.

Jade can make millions through careful PR aimed at her audience(old agent, new agent, support from Dermot & Davina, it doesn't matter) - as can Jordan.
But the hype of Jade had to start somewhere - & that was the hysterical vilification of her in the tabloids during BB3, where, less face it, she was a thoroughly nasty piece of work.
Jade's PR, before and after she left the was all about hype & a sympathy vote - & everything in the z-list seleb age was in place to make the hype to work - truth or not!
Ian 'H' Watkins said in an interview after CBB5 - Jade is 'conniving, vicious & territorial' - we had noticed five years ago!!!
But, like most intelligent people I knew Jade is the person she is because she has massive insecurities - hence her jealousy of Kate outlined in her book.

It's true Kate didn't nail live tv presenting on RI:SE - for many reasons(it would have been nice for her agent to point out where she was going wrong) - but to put her alongside the likes of Jade & others in a seleb z-list is pretty pathetic & misses the point.
Mind you, I do miss anarchic programmes like RI:SE - & the fact that Kate & Iain Lee were worlds apart was a joy at times.

As OK! magazine said in Kate's interview last year - YES!!!, even OK! magazine - Kate didn't want to/hasn't cashed in on Big Brother fame - for that reason alone Kate deserves respect.
I was a bit worried that Kate's appearance on Love Island might effect her kudos on the dance scene, & still think she shouldn't have appeared - but Kate has really stepped up a gear - her originality, style, knowledge, charisma is getting her respect everywhere.
As I've said before, the only 'reality' show Kate's agent should be trying to get Kate on is Strictly Come Dancing.

We've all seen some of the next BB housemates obsess themselves with appearances in seleb mags & lad's mags - because BB has just become a hype machine(fair play to some of the BB4 women who didn't).
When Kate won BB, New, Star, Reveal & Closer magazines didn't even exist!

Kate is a DJ now & gets respect from The Ministry of Sound! - absolutely fantastic!!! - but not in the least bit surprising.
If the lazy journalist who wrote this article was too lazy & fixed in their view - then they are just not very good.

Man that tells a sorry tale about this country doesn't it. Hadn't even realised that.

You're right about this too, although I wouldn't call MSN particularly obscure.

It's a bit bizarre because things I read about 'me' didn't bother me very much at all, but I sometimes get bothered on other folks' behalfs! Sad innit. I think inaccuracies bother me more now than they did in the early days too, mainly because I think it's easier to source accurate information as time goes on.

Yes, it's very unthinking, isn't it. I must say I don't like it when people appear snidey - it reflects badly on them, rather than the person they're writing about.
