Hotel Series For Five Life

Five Life has commissioned Twofour to produce a ten-part series spun off from its Hotel Inspector series.

The Hotel Inspector – Unseen will complement Five's reality series, due to enter its third season, which follows hotelier Ruth Watson in her no-nonsense approach to hotel management.

The spin-off will take viewers further behind the scenes of Ruth's campaign to reverse Britain's alleged reputation for poorly run hotels and guesthouses, and features unseen footage of the hotel owners' reaction to Ruth's frank appraisals. waveguide

HAPPY Mondays and Big Brother star Bez says he is planning a new reality show to pay off his debts. Bez, aka Mark Berry, used his BB winnings to clear debts three years ago but says a tax bill is forcing him back on TV. He said: "I'm doing another rubbish show for ITV this time. I've got a tax bill and it will be the quickest way to pay it off." dailyrecord

Celebrity Baron Reality Show

Gardenstown Four unlikely celebrities are being given the chance to become a genuine Scottish baron in a new reality show for ITV1.

Made by the Twofour production company, the three-part series will see Malcolm McLaren, former Hear'Say singer Suzanne Shaw and comedian Mike Read attempting to convince residents in a remote Aberdeenshire fishing village they have what it takes to become their baron.

The celebrities must become very involved in the community and at the end of filming, the villagers will take part in an election ballot and whoever wins takes the title.

Filming has started in Gardenstown and transmission is expected later in the summer.

BBC Three Motherhood Reality Series

BBC Three is to broadcast a series that will see ten single mothers and their children living together for over a month.

Called Pramface Mansion, the series will conssits of eight one-hour shows and there will be seven 30-minute spin-off shows.

Danny Cohen, Controller of BBC Three, said: "Pramface Mansion is a bold way of looking at a growing question for young people – are there different ways in which people could live together as alternatives to the nuclear family? It's an intriguing experiment and I'm looking forward to having it on the channel."

Coming Soon: Celebrity Rehab, Vh1

Each new celebrity reality show seems to lower our collective standards and frazzle our grey matter, inviting us to give our brains a rest and leave our scruples at the door. They promise sneaky peaks into the day-to-day dross of a has-been celebrity that you’ve either never heard of, happily forgotten or couldn’t care less about. And so looking to keep up with MTV’s recent slide into the muck with Jodie Marsh’s search for a husband, Vh1 presents Celebrity Rehab.

We know the high-profile celebrities battling addiction problems that have recently attended rehab, but the Lindsays and Britneys are a bit too starry for this show. It can’t even aspire to the level of a Jesse Metcalfe (the gardener from Desperate Housewives and squeeze of Nadine from Girls Aloud) or even rehab ever-present Pete Doherty. Oh no, when you sign up to share your cold-turkey hell and group therapy chat with TV cameras, you are officially at career rock bottom. And with that, I introduce you to the Pasadena Recovery Center’s patients…

The celebrities confirmed so far include former professional wrestler Chyna, porn star Mary Carey (her of the legal battle with the more famous Ms Carey), troubled ‘comic’ Andy Dick, Brigitte Nielsen and actor Tom Sizemore. I thought Tom Sizemore had to do proper jail time for his substance abuse problem and subsequent clashes with the law.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.
