Title assumes we actually get a summer :D

I've been collecting these for a while but this is the first chance of doing anything with them.
There are quite a few but all have been resized so hopefully they won't too slow to load.

Red Hot Poker.

Think this is a member of the Daisy Family.

Wild Rose

Giant Pink Poppy. Must have been at least 6 inches across.

Regular Red Poppy

Not sure of the name but the normal ones don't have the inner markings.

Two red roses from the same bush. I've been training them across an archway for about a year. I've still got a way to go but there are quite a number of these roses out at present which is quite a sight.

My Pleasure.

One nice final tweak for an image which most photo software should hopefully be able to do is to run a High-Pass Sharpening filter. This enhances the fine details in the image. You can still run the 'Remove digital photo noise' afterwards without undoing the high-pass filter results.

You'll surprised by some of the results you get.

First of yesterdays one is a bright Green Spider that I spotted. Never seen one like it before and without a book on spiders it's not the easiest thing to look-up.
Image

Next is the first real sign of summer's almost here ,the first Buddleia with colour (of the regular type that is).
Image

Next is a Butterfly which is only the second one I can remember seeing in the garden. The first was last summer. I think looking through the books that I might be a 'Large Skipper' ,though as a few of them have very similar colours and markings I can't be 100% sure as it could be one of 3 or 4 Skippers.

It's still there feasting on the flies and aphids on one of the clematis .
Yes it really stands out being that bright.

Looks like rain again :( ,yesterday was sunny until the evening when the storm and rain arrived.

Off in search of a book on spiders.

Three stages of the 14 spot Ladybird

Stage 1 - Lava
Image

Stage 2 - Chrysalis
Image

Stage 2 - Adult
Image

The Lava of the more common 7 spot Ladybird is Purple with Orange Spots. This is the first Yellow one I've seen. The Clematis where these were found is the same one where the Spider was found. Plus most of the Ladybirds on there as 2 Spotted Orange ones along with hundreds if not thousands of Blackfly lava.

There is the very first stage but I didn't spot any eggs.

Actually I should have used an old picture of the adult as this one is slightly out of focus and the software has sharpened it up a lot. But then it's probably just me being picky.

Continuing on the Ladybird theme here are some Two Spotted Ladybirds.

First the more common Orange one.

Now a few of the Black and Red version.
I think if you look closely you can see my reflection in one of the pictures.

And to finish for now for those that like Bees.

Once the Buddleias are in full bloom I'll back to my favourite subject Butterflies.
