I'm not that into non-commercial 'dirty' experimental house surprise surprise, but I would love to be at a gig Kate was DJing at.

Looks like amazing Kate enjoyed ireland over the weekend-from her myspace

"I love Ireland What an amazing weekend I had last week I have to say that Ireland & Northern Ireland are AMAZING!! Trinity Rooms in Limerick and Lush in Port Rush were 2 of my favourite gigs to date. The clubs, the people, the atmosphere were all mint - thanks for all your support over there - hope to be back soon" :D

Off to Ibiza saturday-I think it's got live Galaxy radio coverage and mtv later. ()^

Too right!

The British Celts are the people who love Kate - her energy.
I seem to remember a certain nervous, sad, pathetic 'sandy' cretin from bb3, who alex sibley & spencer smith were in awe of, inside & outside the house.
Pathetic Sandy insulted Alison the moment she was evicted but Kate destroyed him - he soon shut his mouth.

Bit late finding this................ :D

Big Brother winner and world famous DJ Kate Lawler will DJ at Lush! Portrush, this Saturday.
The venue will be throwing an Access All Areas party with the whole Kelly’s Complex open as one with admission only £5.

Lawler has lived her life in the spotlight since becoming the first female winner of the reality TV show. “It can be funny sometimes,” she laughs.

“I came to Derry a few months ago and the DJ booth was very level with everyone on the dancefloor. No one was dancing, the audience just stood there videoing me. There were camera phones everywhere.

“I didn’t think people would video a DJ, hopefully they will dance at LUSH! I’m really looking forward to playing there the other more established DJs have all been raing about it, they love it there.

“I’ve heard so much about LUSH I’m really looking forward to playing it. LUSH sounds like an educated club in terms of their music.

“I take my music very seriously and I want the audience to do so also.” Kate then laughed adding: “Hopefully no one will ask me have I any R+B anyway.”

It is a busy summer for Kate with several gigs in Ibiza which she is particularly looking forward to.

“I played Ibiza last year, I went there on holiday for years so to play the opening of Eden and then Cafe Mambo was a bit of a dream realised.”

Quizzed on her favourite music the Big Brother winner says: “It has to be a rising, I love house and techno, my set is very varied.

“I like melodic house but I usually drop dark stuff, I really like warped mashed up noises. A lot of people expect a different style but I don’t do commercial house, not that there is anything wrong with that, it’s just not my scene.”

Lawler enjoyed massive amounts of publicity on exiting the famous house but it is clear she has mixed memories of the experience.

Having broached the subject she doesn’t want to discuss it.

“It’s not that I’m ashamed of where I’ve come from but it was a long time ago. I’m not even watching this series.”

Kate's playing Loch Lomond this weekend - now, that is a big gig.

And, later, Rio, Brazil(several festival dates to be confirmed in November).

Incredible!!!.

In Narinder's BB book, Kate points out that part of her ambition is to be a successful international DJ where she is considered an artist, & no-one has heard of British BB.

There is no night club called Hub Hub in Jersey, unless it has opened in the last week or only just changed it's name from something else.

Shame Boopy is over and we could have gone and reported back.

Looks like Hubbub is the brand for the nights promotors and the actual location was Synergy.However it has been changed to Pure club which is bigger.Kate must have been confused. {@}

Live at Loch Lomond (4th and 5th August 2007) is delighted to announce that T4 will be filming from this year’s festival and will be setting up their double decker bus for the two days, interviewing acts and enticing festival goers to take part in their exciting summer T4 Master of the Music-Verse competitions.

Pop World’s Alexa Chung and E4 Music’s Rick Edwards will be recording live from the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond and will shoot a week’s worth of T4 Summer Shows which will be broadcast from

Big Brother’s Kate Lawler will also be making an appearance at this year’s event and will be DJing, mixing with the crowd and generally enjoying the weekend’s festivities.

Thanks a lot, Vilt.
I'm really happy for her. All Kate wanted on the DJ scene was to be given a chance to prove herself; to get equality with the guys on a hugely competitive scene; prove that not all BB housemates were desperate to earn big bucks in superficial seleb magazines & tabloids.
And thank God that has been proved right because the said magazines & tabloids acknowledge that Kate is an exception who wants to work hard to succeed in her career(unlike other BB housemates).
Kate has worked very hard for two years to get respect on the club scene(because most people for obvious reasons think BB & it's hype are total cr@p), but she has escaped from the BB circus & worked to achieve a career of her own.
And yes, Kate is on very early before the big guys, but she has done incredibly well to even been considered for Loch Lomond.
I hope old Pete Wrong gives her some great advice.

A bit here from the Daily Record, Ive not been around lately, hope it's not second-hand:

7 August 2007
the Razz: showbuzz
BEVERLEY LYONS AND LAURA SUTHERLAND

EX-Big Brother winner Kate Lawler hopes to release her first single. Kate, who began DJing in 2005, is remixing the classic It's Love (Trppin') by God Trixx. And judging by the crowd's reaction at last weekend's Loch Lomond set, where Kate played both days, it looks set to go down a storm.

Comment from Liverpool DJ on circuit on Kate's Myspace after Kate's appearance at Liverpool's G Bar:

'Hi Kate

..had the pleasure of meeting you when you played at G Bar last week - I was one of the other DJs who warmed up for you.

What an impact and impression you made here!!! People can't speak highly enough of you!!! Excellent!!! Hope to have you back at the G Bar very soon!!'
