Yeah I've seen both of those...I was disappointed with the 9th gate ending too. And Stigmata was very good....but I seem to find myself in my old age hiding behind my fingers at the sight of blood, and boy was that film bloody!

Yes I liked that one...saw it around the same time I saw 'the Gift' which was kinda similar but very good also.
The 80's ones were all great, but maybe it's cos we were younger? Some of them were downright nasty....I remember one called 'maniac' where this man killed women and scalped them, and covered these mannequins with all their body parts....and they all seemed to have this cheap kind of sound effect that went something like ''WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGG'' but it was scary at the time. I have all the George A Romero zombie films...Dawn of the Dead is still excellent even though its a bit cheesy now

She also does voice overs in World's Scariest Places on UK Horizons...sometimes that's scary (mainly because of her voice!)....sometimes they take too long to get to the good bits, and it ends up to be continued, then I always miss the next part

tell you what some of the scary kids tv shows/film are more scary than the adult ones, because they dont have all the blood and guts, but its all suspence and guess work and the unknown.

Yeah you're right....there's one on Nickelodeon.....think it's called ''Don't be afraid of the dark'' or something like that...where all these kids sit around a camp fire telling stories. Don't know what it is with my kids though....they don't seem to be scared of anything. My daughter begged me to let her watch the Evil Dead, and she just thought it was funny (which it is) but it scared me when I was her age.

The Evil Dead IS funny though...so fake!

Get her to watch, Naked Lunch or another twisted film and then she will get scared

The Vanishing was scary but not in the horror type way....even scarier was the original although it had subtitles. Apparently they had to change the ending of the later version as the audience thought it too depressing. Being buried alive was one of my childhood fears.

Actuallyhave you seen the original for Haunted (that one they remade with Cathrine Zeta Jones) that is So much scarier than the new one.

No I haven't, but i think it's showing on one of the channels on sky lately.

I saw this really good two parter thing on the Hallmark Channel last weekend...Living With the Dead....it was like the 6th sense, only better in my opinion...Ted danson was in it....worth a look if you ever see it's coming on.

I'm looking forward to "Taken" which starts on Saturday night. Sounds pretty cool.
