Colombian gameshow Nothing but the Truth
Nothing But the Truth: massively popular in Colombia.

A hugely popular Colombian gameshow format which involves rigging contestants up to a lie detector and asking them increasingly personal questions is to be brought to the UK by Sky One.

Nothing But the Truth has been a sensation in Latin America where viewers have been queuing up to take part and have the chance to win thousands of pounds.

The format involves a series of questions ranging from "do you make your bed before you leave the house?" to "have you ever cheated on your wife?"

It has been sold to 20 territories worldwide by Reveille International, including the US, where it will be made for Fox.

It will launch in the UK on Sky One this autumn with chatshow host Jerry Springer presenting.

A Sky spokesman said: "Nothing But The Truth promises to be the most talked-about show of the year with its controversial twist on the gameshow format."

The show is one of the highlights of the channel's autumn schedule, which Sky One controller Richard Woolfe described as "unashamedly about entertainment".

The channel will also make a UK version of the format Are You Smarter Than a 10-Year Old?, in which adults have to answer questions from the national curriculum.

Noel Edmonds will front the prime time version with children's TV presenters Dick and Dom hosting a daytime spin-off.

Edmonds will also reprise his BBC special Noel's Christmas Presents for Sky One on Christmas Day.

Ross Kemp will follow up his award-winning series Ross Kemp on Gangs with a follow-up in which he travels to East Timor, Jamacia and Colombia. He will also train with the British army in Afghanistan for a new documentary.

Reality show Cirque de Celebrité also returns, although Ruby Wax has been replaced as host by Jenni Falconer.
