Oh I done that too...and set the timer but didn't do the temperature so cooker never came on

I do that a lot.... I'm always saying to the kids "hey do you think this thing works better if it's switched on at the wall?" It's become an in joke these days

Don't you just hate it when you've got something on the hob cooking and the phone rings.......and you forget about it........and come back to find it's all burned up, ruining both the food and the saucepan! (It probably only happens to me!)

I had a very lucky escape last week... put some milk on to boil, forgot about it, jumped up, ran to the kitchen and it was JUST about to boil over.

It has happened a few times!!

I've done those...and everything else is ready apart from one thing that takes about 20 mins to cook so the rest is burnt or ruined.
I use my microwave's timer to time things, and put the time in but nearly always forget to press start so it ends up a guessing game....I haven't poisoned anyone yet though!

Dont you hate it when you get excited at the three inches of snow, then realise you have to drive home in it and they havent gritted the roads?!!! Then when you go outside, you get pelted by snowballs because the students (who should be in lessons) are having a major snowball fight!!
