Raising a stink
Channel 4's Dumped is a reality TV show that follows 11 middle-class wannabes living, breathing and sleeping rubbish.
And you thought Big Brother had finished on Friday.
The highlight was the start, which, playing on the noble tradition of Survivor and Castaway, opened by letting the freshly-scrubbed eager beavers speculate on where they were going to have to survive for three weeks.
"I think it's going to be somewhere like North Australia or maybe South Africa," trilled one.
"A beach would be good," enthused another.
It turned out to be a rubbish dump just outside Croydon. Unlucky. Their faces were priceless - as anyone's arriving in Croydon would be.
Inevitably, the 11 featured the requisite "part-time model" - Sacha - who obligingly muttered observations on global warming such as: "I've noticed it's getting warmer but I like that because I like the sun anyway."
The narrator revelled in their fate. "They're about to find out what it's like to be dumped," he intoned.
