Hi Ellie, pleased to meet you. I love your name. I loved the name 'Eppie' in the George Eliot novel, 'Silas Marner'. Diarmuid Gavin, the well-known Irish gardening guru. called his first child Eppie, as he'd also had to read 'Silas Marner' in school. Yes, I know 'Ellie' is not the same as 'Eppie'....I'm afraid my mind wanders, as you may find out as you get to know me on here.

I'm gerbilgranny, and I'm new too. At least when I joined, there wasn't a Welcome New Members Section, so that makes me new, right?

I don't really like the username 'gerbilgranny'. Had to think of something quick, when attempting to join another forum, and I said 'gerbilgranny will do, it's not like I'll ever need to use it again'. It's been a while since we had gerbils around our house.

I didn't spend a weekend in Greenham Common so that wimmin could be downtrodden like that!!
