I've been on Facebook for about two years - I find it really handy with keeping in touch with friends from Uni who have graduated.

I will have a look at this Facebook thingy tomorrow - been away for most of the week, so haven't a clue about foodfights and stuff. But I do like sheep.

I joined Facebook a while ago, but it is a total mystery to me, and I much prefer MySpace and Bebo. I'm a teenager at heart, so I don't mind being on them, lol. I like the busy profiles on MySpace, to be honest. And I've *met* a few interesting people through it. Not in real life, granted, but you never know what might happen!

I never thought of Facebook as 'secure'. All those applications and stuff...it's all over the shop!

Old age seems to be preventing me from keeping up with it, to tell you the truth. (ktmoomoo, I'm a decade older than you.. ;) ).

You can find allsorts via Google - often the stuff people post on various public sites can be revealing enough.

i think what has happened is that if you Google someone, and they are on Facebook, the Facebook link will come up on the Google search. But they still can't see your page unless you add them as a friend.

You can also stop your profile being included in the Facebook account by going to your account settings and disabling the option. You don't need to disable your whole account.

Am having toruble with this site now in that it won't let me click on "confirm" or "ignore" on my friend request or any of my notifications. It won't let me even write to the site on the help page. This is annoying me cause I've got like 4 friend request and I don't want them to think I'm ignoring them!

Not having any problems with any other sites that I know of and no-one else seems to be having problems with this site so I'm confused!

Anyone any ideas?

With the help of TD's idea, I've limited it to my PC as well given that it's working fine on my sisters PC.

I joined up to Facebook the other day after various invites from people, but I'm not overly comfortable with it so far. I find it too complex with too many games, features and functions, fun they may be, but entirely useless! The security issue (as someone else already pointed out) is a problem with me too. I don't like how easy it is to search for someones name.

I used My Space, but it became a chore to update, slow to load some pages or some pages didn't work at all! I also found bands trying to add me constantly, extremely annoying.

I prefer Bebo, it's much more simple to use, easier to read, quicker to update and doesn't overload you with stuff.

From what I've seen from them all I'd totally agree, hence why I'm only a member of Bebo.

Hello Suzanne by the way, long time no speak.
