Sky One has added Big Brother 2 winner and Hell's Kitchen star Brian Dowling to its Cirque de Celebrité spin-off team for its launch next month.

Cirque: Backstage at the Big Top, which is presented by Jenni Falconer, will see Dowling go behind the scenes to chart the celebrities' progress in training and interview them after they are eliminated from the show.

He will also go behind-the-scenes of the show to reveal the personal triumphs and rivalries that build up during the competition.

The series will launch on Thursday 11 October at 8pm on Sky One and Sky One HD.

This year's line-up includes Kyal Marsh (Neighbours), Hannah Waterman (EastEnders), Shane Lynch (Boyzone), Stacey Cadman (Cavegirl) and socialite Lady Isabella Harvey.

The main show, which will go out live each Sunday, consists of a panel of judges including Gaby Roslin, Cirque Surreal creator Phillip Gandey and choreographer Louis Spence.

Looking forward to seeing this. Brian hosting an hour long show on his own. The interviews should be a particular highlight as he is both a good interviewer and a good interviewee.

Don't forget this is on tonight at 8.00 pm on Sky One. Looking forward to it, should be great fun and we'll see how they deal with putting Dean Holdsworth back in, so some serious interviewing for Brian too :D .

Thoroughly enjoyed this tonight. Brian was his usual amusing but very professional self. I was pleasantly surprised he was on for most of the show and when he wasn't shown he was narrating. Clearly he has a big input into the show and the show seems to have been tailored very much to him. :D

An excellent first show.

There is a double page interview with Brian in Star magazine this week in the TV section. He discusses his time in Hell's Kitchen and his new show the Cirque de Celebrite spinoff.

Amongst other things it good to read that he has received a lot of support from the people he meets regarding his problems with Jim Davidson.
