This is the remix track on her myspace-I doubt it would be released but it's got a good reception.I noticed Kate's put a mix of her Galaxy radio one-off show on katelawler.net.

Next visit is Planet Love in fairyhouse-I'd imagine she's on early and doesn't look like she's important enough to get the chopper to the north so she may be looking to hang..........

Kate is playing the huge Manchester Pride festival tonight-looks like mainstage for two hours-getting it all going-as warm up for.....Belinda Carlisle. Weather looking....promising.

After winning 2002's Big Brother, Kate Lawler followed the predictable paths of TV presenting and lad-mag modelling. But in 2005, she decided to become a club DJ. Two years on, the diary at her website, katelawler.net, is bulging with bookings from well-regarded clubs including Manchester's Sankeys.

Not surprisingly, Lawler's commitment and talent have been questioned by some, but the free monthly DJ mixes streamed on her website go some way to proving her ability. The most recent half-hour set features uplifting electro/ techno from suitably obscure and of-the-moment acts such as Pig & Dan, Italoboys and Shlomi Aber (whose belting Blonda track is the highlight).

The mixing, meanwhile, is decent enough to impress, without being so perfect you suspect a computer did it. Lawler's celebrity may have helped her into the male-dominated DJing gang, but she certainly sounds capable of holding her own.

Yep, Big Brother is naff(hardly Kate's fault!) - Kate smashes venues everywhere she plays.

What Kate needs for her house DJ career is a serious interview(maybe a front cover!) in M8, Mixmag, DJ/or International DJ magazines.

"Now as a connoisseur of all things progressive house for over ten years now I admittedly have done my fair share of chin stroking on the dance floors and I found myself for the sake of HF doing the same for Kate Lawler. Kate pleasantly surprised me. She played a dynamic set that ebbed and flowed between tech, prog and electro house in an uplifting fashion. Her beat matching was spot on and simple and her crowd control never required the use of water cannons or tear gas, in all she played a wicked set and my hands soon left my chin and were firmly in the air. Did I enjoy Kate Lawler’s set? Guiltily I did a lot, which prompts this response from me — does anyone really care if Kate is utilising her BB fame for something else? She clearly can mix and has a thorough understanding and care for her craft."

Kate has confimed that she is going to Brasil for two weeks to dj-the working holiday of a lifetime.Both the sites haven't been touched for a while so its not clear where she is playing-I did see one reference to a "Fantasy festival" she was playing 1 hour and another UK dj was also playing-I couldn't get the website to load.They don't speak spanish in Brasil they speak portuguese!

Kate is a respected house DJ who happens to work in radio & TV - not the other way round.
When Kate started at Kerrang, her potential DJ dates in Brazil did not change on her myspace site.

I'm sure your Spanish is excellent, Vilt, but how is your Portugese??

This is a fantastic opportunity for Kate to cement her reputation as an international DJ.

DJmag printed her letter last year when Kate replied to their monkey rubbish saying Kate was a celebrity dj

Well, I'm glad that's all cleared up, I'll be able to sleep tonight

It was all fairly puzzling, particularly when she was down to play in London and Brazil on the same day, then Brazil again the next day. Would of been a bit of a stretch, it has to be said.

I am sure all Kate fans are happy to see she is not on the list, Rincewind.
