Uganda: Girl Power Rules the Big Brother House

IT seems girl power is going to rule the Big Brother house till the very end. It manifested itself in the Monday night nominations.
After Tanzania's Richard and Code, the Malawian, topped the nominees' list for possible eviction with three votes each, house head Ofunneka was asked to use her powers to save one of the nominees.

Kwaku T lucks out on Big Brother Africa

A Ghanaian winning Big Brother Africa?

As much as we would all like to relish those dreams, we need to be real. Ghanaians in general lack intercontinental appeal.

Fury over Big Brother sex act

Television viewers, anti-abuse activists and lawyers have condemned the airing of an episode of Big Brother Africa on M-Net on Saturday which showed acts of drunken debauchery and alleged non-consensual sex.

In the wake of the flighting of the programme, South Africans are asking just how far television broadcasters are prepared to go to boost viewership.

‘Live sex attack in Big Bruv’

MILLIONS of South Africa Big Brother fans watched live as a drunken woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a male housemate.

Viewers flooded newspapers and internet message boards over the incident which was shown across Africa.

They claim Richard Bezuidenhout, a 24-year-old student from Tanzania, abused Ofunneka Molokwu, 29, a medical assistant from Nigeria.

M-Net, which broadcasts the show, disputed that version of events in the BB house in Johannesburg. A spokesman insisted Molokwu was fully aware of what was going on.

He said: “There is no indication that she was unconscious at the time.”

Viewers say they saw Molokwu black out after an afternoon drinking bout and married Bezuidenhout lay next to her and abused her.

Producers sent paramedics into the house and cut the live feed.

The pair are both still in the house.
