BRENDAN PUTS THE BOOT IN

ABOVE: Gabby’s upset Brendan Cole

STRICTLY Come Dancing lothario Brendan Cole has hit out at Gabby Logan for moaning at being booted off the hit show.

Strictly was thrown into controversy last week when Gabby, 34, was kicked off, despite being one of the better dancers.

Tough-talking Brendan said the sports presenter deserved to get the boot.

He added: “At the end of the day we all know that it is a combination of a dance competition and a popularity contest.

“I don’t understand why someone would go on the show if they weren’t happy with that. A couple has to go each week and if it was mine and Kelly’s turn next week I would be gutted but I would simply have to accept it.

“Gabby obviously wasn’t doing something right because she failed to connect with the audience.”

Brendan also believes he will win the talent show because he doesn’t fancy his partner Kelly Brook, 27.

The ladies man, 31, and his busty ballroom babe have won support thanks to their sexual chemistry on the dance floor.

He says they are doing so well because it’s business and not pleasure. He added: “Kelly is stunning but she is not someone I am attracted to.

“She is happy with her boyfriend and that is good because both our minds are on the job of winning.”

Strictly Dom blasts judges
EXCLUSIVE: Dom blasts 'rigged' judging

Dominic Littlewood has accused Strictly Come Dancing judges of rigging the show - by deciding their scores before the celebs have even set foot on the dancefloor.

The 42-year-old, who became the fifth dancer to be booted off after scoring just 25 points for his paso doble on Saturday's show, fumed: "Judges do have their favourites there.

"Out of those four there's only one who talks sense and that's Len Goodman.

"He doesn't try to give cheap shots at people just to get a reaction.

"With the other three, (Arlene Phillips, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood) I believe they watch dress rehearsals and they decide their vote there and then, and their comments.

"There's no way they come out with those comments off the cuff. We're all fairly certain that's what goes on, which makes it a bit of a farce."

Last week, the show hit the headlines after Gabby Logan and Penny Lancaster-Stewart - two of the best dancers - ended up in the elimination showdown, with Gabby axed against the judges' wishes.

This week, Beat the Burglar and One Show presenter Dominic's routine with partner Lilia Kopylova landed him third from bottom on the judges' leader-board, above rugby player Kenny Logan and footballer John Barnes. And he couldn't hide his frustration at getting similar points every week, sniping: "If I'm still here next week, I can tell you what my score will be."

After the public vote he found himself in the bottom two and a dance-off with Barnes. He went on: "I knew I'd be out after I said that. My performance was almost flawless and I still got 25. Matt di Angelo stumbled, yet he got 32.

"But I was quite happy to go, I didn't want to stay in a circus like that. We were puppets and they're just pulling the strings and you're dancing around and they come up with their stupid comments."

Dominic also blasted Craig Revel Horwood for out-of-show comments about some of the contestants - and for ridiculing host Bruce Forsyth for needing a large-print autocue.

Dominic said: "So what if his autocue text is slightly bigger? He's nearly 80. If anyone should have been voted off, it should have been Craig."

A Strictly spokesman said last night: "The judges score solely on the live show."

Meanwhile, the BBC1 show was celebrating beating its ITV rival in the ratings - with an average 8.7million viewers to X Factor's 7.8million.

Heh. Dom's not so much 'cheeky chappie' as 'narky chappie' - almost flawless performance indeed! Even when Matt stumbles he still a far better dancer than Dom. I'm glad he's finally out of the show.

Loved Alesha's and Mathew's dancing - her hair arrangement and dress were beautiful. ()^

ARLENE: 'KELLY'S JUST NOT SEXY'

Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has launched an astonishing attack on contestant Kelly Brook - branding her unsexy and childish.

In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Mirror, acid-tongued Arlene - dubbed "The Queen of Mean" for her withering put-downs - snipes: "Kelly and her dance partner Brendan Cole don't work because Kelly's not sexual.

"She is like a giggling six-year-old wrapped in a woman's body. Her smile, her hair, her teeth, her body, her legs - everything about her physically is stunning. But she doesn't exude sexiness.

"She's like a little kid, and she needs to grow up fast if she wants to win."

Arlene, who shot to fame with Seventies TV dance troupe Hot Gossip, says: "When they put Brendan and Kelly together I laughed out loud. I didn't think for a minute they would work together as a couple. And I was right - they haven't gelled.

"Brendan likes women like Natasha Kaplinsky - women who inspire him.

He likes serious women, and I don't know how serious Kelly is."

Arlene then turns on the Kiwi love rat: "Brendan needs to find a decent woman and get married - but I know he won't.

He'll go on chasing skirt for a long, long time. Brendan was fantastic with his ex Camilla, but it's over and he's still kicking himself." The bed-hopping quick-stepper was in hot water with judges last week after including two illegal lifts in his paso doble. Arlene puts his repeated rule-breaking down to his desire to carve out a name for himself - rather than win the show. She fumes: "Brendan is like a naughty schoolboy playing up for attention. Kelly needs to take control and put him in his place.

"He thinks that by being more and more outrageous that's going to help make his name. It's not."

The fifth series of the show is only halfway through, but Arlene, 64, is clearly revelling in her ice-queen image.

As Strictly's answer to Simon Cowell, she has already reduced model-turned photographer Penny Lancaster - wife of rock star Rod Stewart - to tears after branding her dancing "lumpy".

"Kenny Logan has to go next," she adds. "Kate Garraway should be out the week after." Here are her other verdicts...

'This pair just don't go well together'

Kelly Brook and BRENDAN COLE

Arlene Says: "Kelly and Brendan should be wiping the floor with the competition. But they're not because they haven't clicked. They're totally mismatched."

Alesha Dixon and MATTHEW CUTLER

Alesha is a natural - watching her dance is like heaven with a pink bow on it. Strong body, great dancer and a joy to watch. She deserves to win and forge a new career for herself.

Penny Lancaster and IAN WAITE

Letitia Dean and DARREN BENNETT

Letitia is a dark horse. She's one to watch - she could be the new Jill Halfpenny. Her confidence is improving but she needs to stand up straight, stick her boobs out and learn how to use her body.

John Barnes and NICOLE CUTLER

John's improving every week - but he still looks like he's dancing with his feet tucked into football boots. I don't think he's got the winning desire like sportsmen in previous series. Lovely to watch though.

Gethin JONESand CAMILLA DALLERUP

Gethin's gorgeous but he hasn't got the courage to show his real personality. To dance well a man has to be a man and a woman has to be a woman. I don't think Gethin sees himself as a man yet.

Kate Garraway and ANTON DU BEKE

In week one, I would have said Kate had no chance and by rights she should go soon. All credit to her for staying in the show for as long as she has done. Anton is a great partner.

Matt Di Angelo and FLAVIA CACACE

Matt's great chemistry with Flavia makes their pairing sexy and believable. There's a drama and excitement to everything they do. You really believe they're a

Lancaster voted off Strictly show

Model Penny Lancaster Stewart has become the sixth celebrity to leave BBC One show Strictly Come Dancing.

Lancaster Stewart and dancing partner Ian Waite were ranked second bottom by the judges on Saturday night.

They were also in the bottom two when votes from viewers were added up and announced on Sunday's show.

The pair then lost a dance-off with EastEnders actor Matt D'Angelo and partner Flavia Cacace. Eight couples remain in the competition.

Lancaster Stewart's first dance - the salsa - received some harsh criticism from the judges during Saturday's show.

"It was like a canary and a crow flying in from Stanstead, not Cuba," said Arlene Phillips.

'Good fun'

"The energy was phenomenal but it made it displaced. It was unfocused and all over the place," said Craig Revel Horwood.

But Len Goodman commented that, although it was "a bit hectic", it was "entertaining - it was good fun".

Three out of four judges saved D'Angelo and his partner.

Three couples tied for first place on the leader board on Saturday night.

Model and actress Kelly Brook and Brendan Cole, former footballer John Barnes and Nicole Cutler, and Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones and Camilla Dallerup all got 36 points.

GMTV presenter Kate Galloway and her dance partner Anton Du Beke came bottom with 18 points.

Phew! I'm so glad Kate was voted out, it's just a pity a couple of good dancers went before her. I'm off to the U.S tomorrow for 2 weeks -I'll see recording of the shows when I get back but will still check in here for the results.

Strictly exit for GMTV's Garraway

Breakfast TV presenter Kate Garraway has been voted off celebrity dance contest Strictly Come Dancing.

She became the seventh celebrity to be ejected from the BBC One show after coming in the bottom two with ex-England footballer John Barnes.

Garraway and partner Anton Du Beke's footwork in the Paso Doble was called "mummified" by judge Bruno Toniolo.
