Yeah, yeah.

Russell was mildly funny when he had a grasp of irony - see his p!sstake of BB on BB's 5,6,7 - but he wasn't bright enough to understand irony/comedy, thereafter(he needs to look at Chris Morris).

Poor old Russell believed his hype after the, er, Kate Moss hype - but no one found him funny.
The tabloid TV hacks destroy him time after time, destroying his tiny confidence, but it's his own fault. Russell is at home taking the piss out of the likes of useless Victor from BB5, but place him outside this environment & he is lost.
His autobiography is going to be tedious rubbish.

I saw his live show for the first time, this summer, I have to say that while I found it an unsettling experience, I don't think I ever laughed as much.

He did a routine where he went through that day's local papers, (something which couldn't have been prepared much in advance), and it was side-splittingly funny. Maybe the fact that he was an Englishman, commenting on the strangeness of our local news stories made it funnier than if he'd been Irish...

It was unsettling for me, 'cos there's a superficiality about his life/relationships which I find sad...though I'm sure he's not feeling unhappy!

Russell has avoided sex for 22 1/2 days

He's renowned as a shameless womaniser, an ex-drug addict with a quickfire wit and eccentric hair.

And in the flesh, Russell Brand is indeed a world-class flirt, capable of turning sane, sensible women into pathetic, blushing schoolgirls.

It's irritatingly irresistible.

Had a look yesterday.
Not doubting Russell's talent as a wordsmith(his ghostwriter is good as well); he has a half-decent rudimentary knowledge of 'culture', but one thing bothers me:

He had a nice little low-key career on digital TV/radio thanks to Big Brother - but as soon as Kate Moss came along, EVERYTHING was EXPLOITED by his agent & himself for maximum exposure.

I think it's called 'Selling Out'.
