Hmmm.....weeks back, when Alesha was still in it, someone on Irish radio who had attended a show, predicted that the final three would be Rhydian, Leon, and Same Difference. I was quite surprised to hear that - but it's been proved correct. I think the voting for Same Difference and Leon has always been very strong, and well, Rhydian is world-class.

I would have preferred Nicki to stay rather than Same Difference.

I think they seem very false and her tears last night looked very fake and staged to gain sympathy I thought. She was able to switch instantly from crying to a big beam urging viewers to vote for them.

Their singing is not up to the same standard as Nicki's. In fact I don't actually think they are very good singers. The singing is masked by the dancing etc, but having said that I suppose they are good performers and very watchable.

I just find them too cheesy.

Last week, they said 'at least the judging is down to the public now' meaning they thought they had a lot of support, but then realised what they had said and corrected themselves with 'so we hope the public will keep voting for us'.

This makes me wonder if they know something that we don't (e.g. if they have some sort of organised voting scheme going on)!

LEON RATTLES RHYDIAN

TENSION between X Factor rivals Rhydian Roberts and Leon Jackson rose so high they had to be kept apart before last night’s semi-final.

Hot favourite Rhydian got more and more rattled that Leon could be catching him up in the race for the ITV1 show crown.

An insider confided: “Rhydian got used to being the clear favourite and it seemed he didn’t like having to share the limelight.

“He was saying that he thought Leon was too weak to win.

“The two were very frosty with each other for seven days or so.

“Clearly, they can’t stand each other and it was showing.”

Welshman Rhydian, 24, told the Daily Star Sunday the public should vote for his singing skill rather than for the likeability of the 19-year-old Scot.

He said he could stand the thought of losing to duo Same Difference or Brummie mum Nikki – but not to Leon.

And he added: “I know the weaknesses of the other contestants and Leon just doesn’t have the stage presence I do. He’s very young and inexperienced and there is no way I could come fourth to him.

“To the others maybe, not to him.”

Leon, on the other hand, believes he’s the greatest natural talent himself.

He said: “I am the only one here who hasn’t had any formal training.

“I only sang for the first time about six months ago because I was shy.

“Everyone else here has been to stage school or had training.

“Rhydian has been singing professionally for years and years.

“I’ve had to raise my game on my own.

“I’m just as good as Rhydian now and he has to consider the possibility of losing to me.”

Meanwhile, Same Difference brother and sister Sean and Sarah Smith are concentrating on the positive.

Sean revealed: “We’ve had two letters from people who are dealing with some really horrible things in their lives and who say we’ve helped them – that our happy performances have uplifted them and given them inspiration.”

Haven't had much interest this year for X Factor. I couldn't care less who wins and certainly would buy any of their records!

SCD is so much better :D

Kylie and Jason sing on X Factor

Minogue and Donovan also starred in the Australian soap Neighbours
Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan have been confirmed as special guests on this week's X Factor final.

But the stars, who hit number one with the duet Especially For You in 1988, will not perform together.

Minogue will sing with finalist Leon Jackson, who is being mentored by her sister, Danni. Donovan is to perform with Simon Cowell's Same Difference.

Meanwhile, opera singer Katherine Jenkins will duet with the bookmaker's favourite, Rhydian Roberts.

Hopefuls

Ladbrokes are offering 1/3 odds for Roberts to win, Jackson is 7/2 and Same Difference are 6/1.

An ITV spokesperson said the songs each performer will sing will be confirmed later in the week.

The fourth series of the show began in August with thousands of hopefuls auditioning.

Dermot O'Leary was introduced as the new host, while Danni Minogue joined judges Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.

The X Factor final will be broadcast live at 1915 GMT on Saturday, and the results will be unveiled in a later show at 2135 GMT.

The prize is a £1m recording contract.

Last year's winner, Leona Lewis, is currently at number one in the UK singles charts with Bleeding Love.

DION DUMBFOUNDED BY X FACTOR PRESENTER

Canadian singer CELINE DION was furious when British TV presenter DERMOT O'LEARY interrupted her during a live broadcast of TV talent show THE X FACTOR.

The pop star launched into an in depth appraisal of every act's performance on the show broadcast in October (07) seconds before they were due to go to an advert break. So producers shouted into O'Leary's hidden earpiece and ordered him to stop her.

O'Leary tells Heat magazine, "That was amazing. The thing was, she really wouldn't stop, and I had producers in my ear telling me that if she carried on naming every single act on the show and telling us what she thought of them, we'd fall off the air before we got to the actual results.

"So I literally had to shut her up, and just had to say something. She has that very Quebecois stare! Her management weren't happy about it, so I was worried I was going to be bollocked. I said I'd apologise, but my bosses were like, 'No way. You were great with her!'"

The Bitch Factor: Forget the X Factor contestants, it's the judges who are at war

Sharon Osbourne is squirming.

She's just been asked why she's spent the past week slagging off her fellow X Factor judge Dannii Minogue as a talentless nobody who got her job only because Simon Cowell fancies her.

And Dannii is sitting just a yard from her at a packed Press conference.

"It's an even playing field, Dannii speaks about me, I speak about her," she says, avoiding Dannii's eye.

The X Factor: Same Difference third!

Same Difference finished third in the 2007 series of The X Factor, following the final which took place on Saturday evening.

The duo - brother and sister Sean and Sarah Smith - had been Simon Cowell's last remaining act in the show.
