Kate confirmed on Kerrang today that she is flying to Brazil to DJ.

Kate's written a short blog for the first part of her trip to Brazil on her myspace.
Sounds like Kate is enjoying the experience - Brazil is a real eye-opener for her.

Kate's going to be on Mistress de Funks Radio 1 show over xmas (27th, I think), according to ms de funk herself.

Kate got her foot in on the House scene because of Big Brother, granted - but she has worked her absolute socks off to be taken seriously.
This weekend alone after a week at Kerrang, she DJ'ed in Tamworth, friday, & Bangor, Wales, Saturday. This followed her sojourn to Brazil to DJ at dance festivals, her residency at Sankeys, Manchester, & her Team:Dave DJ appearance in Huddersfield with soulmate, Mistress de Funk.

The video of Kate & Mistress de Funk in Marbella in September on Kate's myspace is hilarious.

Fantastic that Kate's bonded with someone as cool as her.

Looks like Kate has declined the busy and lucrative Xmas and New year period-favouring the radio show committment.

Fair enough, but she's still busy DJ'ing for the next few months.
I know Kate has her mainstream ambitions, will want to devote alot of her time to Kerrang - but she jumped on a plane to DJ in Ireland on saturday instead of going to the Kerrang christmas party.

I just hope she's sensible & combines the two careers successfully.
Kate, like Brian Dowling, has had many chances to exploit the sometimes quite lucrative market of z-list promotion for BB housemates. But she has always been career-minded & I respect her for that.

It's been a difficult road for Kate to be taken seriously on the House scene because of BB, but she has achieved much credit & respect - she should always remember that.

I've just had a look at Kate's House myspace site & Kate has written a blog saying how much she loves working at Kerrang. Kate & Tim are both combustible characters - but I think they have a lot of affection for each other - totally platonic, of course - Tim, despite the arguments he plays on air with his wife, Hayley(for radio purposes), is totally devoted to Hayley & their kids, Sophie & Annabel, the stars of 'steve-the-egg' - an idea which could make him a lot of money.

Shock, surprise! - Tim Shaw announced today that a 'steve-the-egg' book is being released next year - appealing to kids & adults alike.
Kate said they already have the illustrator on board & chose a professional childrens book writer on air today to write them. They will be similar in vein to the Mr Men books.

No doubt Tim Shaw has the copywrite as the creator, & Kerrang share that as the facilitator.

Kate said today she was in London yesterday to see her family & do the interview with Mistress de Funk on Radio 1.
Apparently, Mistress de Funk & Kate were playing their house music very loud & prissy Scott Mills(who djs by numbers) felt the need to go into their studio & tell them to keep the noise down because he was trying to do a show!(how dull).

More like he didn't want his listeners to hear the talent in the next studio..

DJKate Lawler & DJRebekah(apparently, she's a sh!t hot DJ who was a sun page 3 girl once!) are DJing in Santa outfits this friday in Bournemouth. Blimey, forget about Judge Jules who is supposed to appear as well.
