AMERICAN IDOL judge SIMON COWELL has angered publicists at TV network Fox after he refused to take part in a contractual photo shoot in London.
The acid-tongued star was due to have publicity shots taken in Los Angeles for the series, but insisted upon staying in London, where he is filming British TV talent show The X Factor.
Fox flew a group of photographers, publicists and crew from the U.S. to the British capital, spending $50,000 (GBP25,000) on the excursion, only for Cowell to miss the shoot "due to illness. But the group involved is "pissed off" by the star's no-show, as they failed to get the necessary publicity shots, reports TMZ.com.
A representative for Cowell says,
"He was a little under the weather, but thankfully he's feeling better."
