Another ruck on Friday-Kate's friend from Rise-Anjula Matanda cut off in her prime for saying the word "lentils"on a rock station.
In other news Kate is having her tattoo lasered off-I'll miss it.

Yeah, that was interesting - there's nothing wrong with Kate's tattoo but she's grown up now.

Kate mentioned(to Tim Shaw, beforehand) the song she & Iain Lee used to sing for Anjula Matanda before she appeared on RI:SE - 'AAANJULA MATANDA! ANJULA MATANDA, LA, LA, LA, LA... LA,LA,LA,LA - nicked, as Kate said, by Fern & Phil for Angula's appearances on This Morning!

Even Tim Shaw had a go!

Awww - Tim Shaw made a comment about Iain Lee being a nice guy & good presenter but boring on that Sky documentary he narrated about Posh'n'Beck's moving to LA last year.

Kate was straight in there, saying, 'Iain Lee is not boring! he's my friend!!'

Out of interest-this was true-Kate was djing at Evolve in LeamingtonSpa on 20th-there are some pics on Tilllate up. I guess it was a short notice gig as it never made it onto her sites.

Blimey, thanks Vilt - I didn't think it was true!. No doubt many of the club promoters in the West Midlands are aware that Kate lives in Brum, Monday-to-Friday - so Kate doing an impromtu gig isn't so strange - but brilliant, all the same.

Kate watched Jim Carrey's film, 'Number 23' - & pointed out many number '23' coinsidences regarding her friends who watched it with her - including 'Dave' ie Mistress de Funk.

Kate & Tim Shaw have quite clearly got a good chemistry.
As I've pointed out before, because of the kind of combustible characters Kate & Tim are, they do have the potential to fall out - especially when you consider Tim Shaw's history on radio!
Ruby Wax was on the show last week. Tim Shaw decided to be cynical from the outset & say he was Brian Dowling, winner of Big Brother!
Ruby was so good & genuinely funny with that nonsense, Kate got bored, & told Ruby she was talking to Tim Shaw, Kerrang!
Ruby said Kate had a very, very sexy voice, to which Tim replied very quietly, in all seriousness, ' Yes, Kate is very attractive'.

Anyway, it looks like Kate did accompany Tim when he filmed Channel 4's Balls of Steel on the weekend after New Year - or as Tim Shaw put it, 'I spent the day in London recording 'Ball's of Steel' with Kate Lawler's sister!

Kate announced today she is running the The London Marathon.
Kate is running to raise money for Cystic Fybrosis - the daughter of Kate's friend suffers from the condition.
Apparently, Cystic Fybrosis research receives very little funds from the government, which is strange considering Gordon Brown's child suffers from this - maybe he doesn't want to be seen as preferential to a particular cause/charity - which is fair enough.

Anyway, more details will follow, but you will be able to sponsor Kate via the kerrangradio website before the event.

Today, Kate said she ran 7km on the treadmill last night - it was her first night of training for the London Marathon - cynical Tim Shaw was well impressed!

As regards the media, the rule is usually true that most people would kill their own grandmas to climb up the slippery pole.

Not true for some.
Tim Shaw announced today that he, Kate, Juicy Luicy, visted Henry's new flat yesterday - Henry being Kerrang's very own 'singing travel girl!'
There seems to be a team spirit at Kerrang Radio - something Kate probably hasn't experienced within the media before.

I've always been happy with 5k and even 10k but I hope Kate realises she may not finish-mainly coz she has hardly any fat reserves at all-she's a prime bodymorph to hit the glyco wall at 18 miles.I recall she's also had knee problems in the past through overtraining(during rise time)so 7k on a treadmill is an issue.The good news is that these next two months are the good months for some good mileage to build for a marathon.

Fair enough - but Kate finished a 10k(I think for Capital Radio) easily in a very quick time years ago on RI:SE - Iain Lee was very impressed.

Tim Shaw & Kate Lawler were being very subversive today.

Kate is still in touch with Charlie, her pre-Big Brother boyfriend - an 'ex' who isn't very happy with the fact that Kate has threatened to run the London Marathon in Ann Summers bra & knickers!

Hmm... nice moment today - Kate spoke to Charlie on the phone where he pleaded for her not run in her underwear during the London Marathon - suffice to say, Tim Shaw, who was in his element for radio purposes, had to leave the room while Kate made the call!

Kate Lawler was absent during the last 20 minutes of The Morning After today - 24/01/08 - very strange.
Kate is not pregnant in any way.

I wouldn't worry about it - your comments about fitness & health have validity(but probably wouldn't apply to Paula Radcliffe!) - but Kate knows what she's doing.
Kate's mom said in her Mother's Day interview for Closer a few years ago she was most proud of Kate finishing somewhere around a hundred in a school half-marathon when Kate was 15 - there were around a thousand people taking part.
Kate's fitness video, & I mean proper fitness, is probably the most legitimate in the last 10 years.

Jade 'did' the London Marathon for 'celebrity' reasons, almost died - an absolute disgrace that she was allowed to do so by her handlers at the time. But, of course, she released a 'fitness' video on the back of it - proven to be a total fake.

I think Kate will do okay; she may not 'run' the whole distance, but she will do what she set out to do & raise alot of money for Cystic Fibrosis research.

Very funny; with much encouragement from Tim Shaw, Kate had a good laugh at Jeremy Edward's expense today with his exposal in The Sun .

Jeremy Edwards, of course, thought he was 'it' on CBB3 - before being destroyed by the the truly great, Jackie Stallone.

And worse, he is a personal friend of Dermot O'Dreary!

Much worse! - he was a big fan of cowardly Jade Goody in BB3!!!

I think Kates got to concentrate on the club DJing and Modelling.

Shame, I really enjoyed this show over the last couple of months, best thing Kate's been involved with IMHO. Yet she doesn't seem to have a global appeal, it has to be admitted.

But what are the Rajar figures? - what exactly do they mean?? & what has this to do with Kate being the very junior partner to Tim Shaw's ego after only 4 months?
I know this regional radio malarky is very cut-throat but what can Kate actually do?? - Tim Shaw does all the time-checks & names the tracks.
