Newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky claims BBC forced her to do Strictly Come Dancing
Five News presenter Natasha Kaplinsky has wasted no time in damning her former employers at the BBC.
She blames Auntie for forcing her into participating on Strictly Come Dancing, a role which boosted her popularity but left her engulfed in controversy as her on stage chemistry with dance partner Brendan Cole coincided with his high-profile split from his fiancée.
Natasha, post-Strictly, was "shocked and horrifiedî at the attention she received from the press and occasionally found "paparazzi rummaging through binsî and questioning her "old Brownie leader".
"I was desperate not to do Strictly, but I'd just joined the BBC and I was the nearest and weakest victim," she says.
