Okay, a small confession... I really wanted to try out a new topic on the swanky new forums. I had no idea we were having the decorators in? Looks great and some new features too... love it ()^

Back to the show...

I simply cannot get my head around this Jen & Ryan dating thing. Whats the big deal? Its not like they're brother and sister but to hear their HMs you'd think it was the crime of the century.

Seems Adam's nickname is the 'hooded' warrior... of course one of the gals just had to go ask him why.
::lol::

Liking James more... seems laid back, cheerful and not anal (unlike most of the others).

Oh can I plug another show? I watched that "Being Human" on BBC3 last night... Vampire and Werewolf pals move into a flat and discover its haunted by a Ghost. Yeah I know, what a plot! But you know what, its one of the best ever shows I've ever seen. It was a well acted, deadpan serious, straight drama, genuinely scary but also laden with a lot of subtle comedy too. If you get a chance this week (its being repeated several times) DO watch it... it'll surprise you, it did me. Currently its a one-off but if they don't send this into a full series then the BBC is making the biggest mistake in their entire history, it'll be a huge hit.

You seem to be getting hooked, John. I haven't managed to see it yet at all - should I be doing something about that?

Like the new look of the place too, btw. It goes with your new avatar, lol.

Hi Jo,

Not hooked as much as not daring to miss it... I'm finding it quite hard to follow in truth. I guess its because we see so little of it compared to the UK version?

I do like its intensity though... at times tonight I thought they were about to come out fighting several times. Lord only knows what its going to be like after they've been in there couple more weeks?

Just noticed that posts are limited to 60,000 characters! How the hell am I supposed to do my overnight updates in the summer under that kind of restriction? ;)

For those not catching the news:

This week the two nominated couples are... Jen and Parker along with Ryan and Allison. Jen and Ryan being the the real-life couple outside the house.

We've have yet to see what happens after the veto competition but it looks like in order to punish either Jen or Ryan an innocent Parker or (slightly less so) Allison will also face the chop.

It is now unrestricted, so we shall be able to once more enjoy your posts John in the Summer, without fear that they will be restricted!

Is it really only on twice a week? I read days ago about someone leaving and expected to see it last night. How does it work in terms of time? How many day behind, and how many days are they cramming into the HL show? From what I can gather it's only on twice a week :-?

Thanks for your reply to my question, John. I just need to manage to get the time to watch the show when it is actually on. My life is so disorganised atm!!

And thanks, Christine, for making it possible for us to have John's updates in the summer!!  Having been admin and mod of different types of forums over the years, I understand a wee bit about the getting to know your way round business!! And you're MUCH better at it than I ever was, lol.

I'm unsure how the production/broadcast schedules work for BB:US but I'm sure the person who left on Sunday was there at the end of Sunday's HL show... I'm guessing then that they used material from the end of last week, and maybe upto Saturday. I'm sure the editors would then use the remaining time to polish the material before broadcast.

I'm sure we'll see the leaving on the next show (shown this Thursday).

Just a reminder: Repeat showing tonight on BBC3 at 22:50pm (1 hour running time).

I don't like this years couples thing - too much about relationships and not enough about individuals playing the game, sort of like the UK BB.

Jen and her big mouth! she caused mayhem because she wanted Ryan to stay....but not in place of herself when it came to the crunch apparently,

Amanda obviously didn't pay heed to what happend to Jacob when he spread rumours, still, Josh's remark about her dad was vicious.

So far, Matt and Natalie/James and Chelsia are the only couples who have managed to get on and work well together.

Oh, upon hearing the latest rumours... perhaps he is after all

I did accidentally stumble on a BB:US Live Feed video clip of James the other night. Seems many of the HMs were in the Hot Tub when James lept out wearing his trademark pink undies. For reasons unknown, he stripped off his undies and proceeded to do naked handstands in the garden and in full view of the other HMs... actually, I was susprised they broadcast this? You imagine the Yanks would be funny about showing this sort of thing.

I have to say the other HMs were more than a little surprised themselves... While the gals loved it, some of the other blokes, clearly puzzled, were asking him why he just did that? I'm not sure James could answer them.

Credit to James though... its good to see someone follow through on their entrance video promises for once.

That would have been my thoughts too.

The problem is, I don't see how they are going to gain any reward for doing so... in fact, they might become targets from the others who fear their closeness? Shame really.

Lets hope the games/tasks are carefully structured to benefit those couples getting along rather than those just playing along?
