Kate almost slipped up today!
Tim Shaw is a science & engineering geek who has great fun everyday asking Kate & 'singing travel girl' Henry what the latest 'Day of the ...', is - usually referring to some kind of engineering innovation anniversary.
Most of the time, Kate hasn't got a clue!

Today, Tim Shaw declared it was 'Day of the 'friend' & asked what it was?
Aww - Kate hadn't got clue what it was in engineering terms but said the only 'friends' she had in the studio were Tim & Juicy Lucy!

Anyway, much to Tim Shaw's annoyance, 'bulging' Joe the newsreader explained what 'friends' were - something to do with climbing equipment - couldn't get the rest.

Kate & Charlie spoke again today.
Suffice to say, Tim Shaw was in his absolute element again!

Hmmm... not sure about Kate with short hair... though she looked pretty good with a black wig mimicking Dougie Anderson on Ri:se.
But she never settles for a style.

On Monday she asked Tim Shaw what he thought - he said very, very 'narce'.

Anyway, Kate is gorgeous if she wants to be an ironic DJ on Kerrang!

This is the thing about Kate: she refrains from any promotion of z-list 'celebrity' which could have been very lucrative for her, ie made life very comfortable & has seeked a different path - ie the far more difficult one - to be treated as a peer.

No doubt her contract with Ann Summers is over - but two years wasn't bad.

Kate & Tim Shaw got a day out yesterday driving Lamborghinis on a race track - audio record broadcast on 'The Morning After' tomorrow.
No doubt a freebie but Kate said it was the best experience of her life!
Tim Shaw is absolutely obsessed with cars.
When Kate said she reached 180mph in her Lamborghini on a 1 mile straight, Tim had to top it & say he reached 185!

Kate's on hols to Spain for a few days - she's got a few gigs, Friday, Saturday - so Kate will not be on Kerrang's breakfast show, Thursday & Friday.

Yeah, mondays show was possibly the best I'd heard, the Stephen Hawkins conceit was hilarious

Kate was back today-it wasn't clear she was gigging-she was with a gang and Tim mentioned skiing a couple of times.he phoned friday 8am when she was scootered but that doesn't prove anything.Marbella was mentioned but no gigs-I'd guess it was a pure holiday as Kate said" I don't often get to have a holiday"

Nice show last friday-Kate's ma and pa were in the studio (on air for a while)as they were visiting for the weekend.The mutt-puppy charles-complete with overnight bag was also in the studio causing chaos. (Spent the weekend improving their spelling)

Been on holiday so missed Tim Shaw's first appearance on Channel 4's Balls of Steel - where apparently his disgraceful alter ego 'Mr Inappropriate' won the audience vote!

He's going to be on the final three shows - Fridays, 11pm Channel 4.

It was Alcohol Awareness Week today on Kerrang's The Morning After.

At the start of the show Kate & Tim Shaw gave blood samples to an approved NHS doctor in order to ascertain their general health, their blood/alcohol level & the state of their kidneys.

Yes, Kate is like any other normal human being & likes a drink friday & saturday especially when she's DJ-ing.

Suffice to say, Kate got a clear bill of health, much to Tim Shaw's chagrin.

Kate called someone from her record label today. Nice bit of cross-promotion, I thought. She did it for the reverse-charge game, which has apparently been stolen by Scott Mills. They all seem quite irate about it. Meh, I'm not that sure it's that great an idea, tbh.

Abi Titmuss owned Tim in an interview today. Mildly amusing to hear him flounder.

Tim Shaw's got a real bugbear about other radio stations nicking his ideas, especially if they don't ask first - his annoyance seemed quite genuine on this occasion as opposed to any kind of misplaced paranoia.
I quite like 'reverse charge' but prefer "I'm not a celebrity..."

Sian from Toolroom records has just posted on Kate's myspace to say it's all systems go for promotion of Kate's EP & added she enjoyed the 'reverse-charge' wind-up of Toolrooms' Owen!
