Pamela to quit Ipswich for good

PAMELA Wright has today vowed to leave Ipswich for good following evil partner Steve Wright's conviction for murdering five sex workers.

The 60-year-old told a close friend she feared she would become an “object of strange fascination” and said some people in the town would never believe she was unaware of her boyfriend's killing spree.

Brothel users 'should give DNA'

Men using brothels and massage parlours should be made to give DNA samples in an effort to reduce the number of prostitute murders, an MP has said.

Ex-Labour minister Denis MacShane told the House of Commons that such tests would also be "a way of getting men to face up to their responsibilities".

No link to Suffolk strangler

A link between the Suffolk strangler and murdered East Sheen estate agent Suzy Lamplugh is unlikely to shed new light on her death, her father told the Richmond and Twickenham Times this week.

A suggestion that Steve Wright may have been responsible for Suzy's disappearance in July 1986 emerged after his ex-wife, Diane Cole, revealed the two worked together on the QE2 in the early 1980s.

Wright victim fund raises £28,000

A FUND set up in memory of one of five women murdered by serial killer Steve Wright has raised nearly £30,000.

Brian and Gail Adams' appeal, set up after the death of their daughter, Gemma, whose body was found in December 2006, has given £28,000 to the Ipswich Children's Hospice.
