Sir Alan Rolls on to eBay

The Rolls-Royce driven by Sir Alan Sugar in The Apprentice has been put up for sale on eBay.

The 1998 Seraph was used by the Amstrad boss in the first series of the hit BBC business reality show.

He gave current owner Stuart Fyfe the number plates AMS 1 as a gift when he sold it, although Sir Alan kept the actual on-road registration.

Stuart, 58, of Cambridgeshire, has had the Rolls for two years and put it on the site for £43,500.

He said: "The car is in brilliant condition. It was around £170,000 new and has all the extras with 62,000 miles on the clock.

"The CD player is a bit temperamental - although some people would say that is a bit like Sir Alan."

BBC1's The Apprentice will be back next month and sources say recruits are "madder than ever".

Alan Sugar‘s new entrepreneur Apprentice

Entrepreneur Raef Bjayou is appearing in the next series of The Apprentice. How will Alan Sugar take to the young upstart?

Something tells RB there’s going to be fireworks.

Bjayou is confident at best, and deluded and arrogant at worst. He says: “The spoken word is my tool (I’m a) terrific conversationalist and raconteur, with incredible charisma. (I’m) priceless, absolutely priceless.”

Having been hooked to the third series of The Apprentice, RB has seen the indomitable Sugar show many “priceless” candidates just how expendable they are.

The millionaire businessman does not suffer fools gladly. What is Bjayou doing, claiming to have “never lost an argument” and making grand statements about having “faced death in the face many times”!
(Faced the face of death in the face, perhaps?)

And what of Bjayou’s entrepreneurial credentials. Please don’t say this is yet another “Liam Young”. (The Big Brother housemate, and *entrepreneur* claimed to run a £200,000-turnover hosting company, despite there being no record of the business at Companies House.)

Apprentice Viewers

The opening programme of the latest series of The Apprentice, starring tycoon Sir Alan Sugar, attracted 6.4 million viewers, the BBC said today.

The figure was more than double that achieved by Channel 4's Grand Designs Revisited, which was watched by 3.1m.

The BBC One show's opening episode saw the two teams of budding business moguls given two van-loads of fresh fish to shift by the end of the day.
