It's called being in the right place at the right time. The fly appeared while I was taking other pictures ,the rest you can see.

Wow! They're amazing.

I was thinking, larry - you ought to make a calendar using some of your seasonal photos and give to people at Christmas, or you could get your photos put onto mugs or coasters or something for presents.

I did a calender for 2007 but the hard part is the ring binding. I borrowed a machine for the one I made but the rings were too small. And I couldn't anywhere locally who could do it properly.

I can get the transfers for tee-shirts etc. I did 6 tee-shirts with a personalised design for family members after they rediscovered the church and went on to be Baptised.

Calenders are the easier to design using existing templates and then importing photos for each month. Printed on heavy weight photo paper it looks very good.

The Newts might have come out better if I'd managed to get the polarizing filter to remove the reflections off the surface of the pond ,but it didn't seem to do much so I took it off again and just let Paintshop Pro do it's magic.

Have you ever tried somewhere like Boots or Fabulous Photo Gifts to make mugs, calendars, coasters, mousemats etc with your photos?

Think Tesco and Jessops over these services but I wasn't impressed with the prices.
Tesco Photo printed books are very good and look very professional as I composed one on-line and had them print it with hard covers.
There were a few issues with their software with DPI and size of images and they way they were interpreted .But I now have their software to build the books off-line which'll help next time.

I will have a look at those other sites as it opens up more gift ideas.

If only the camera's computers would act like the human eye. Here is a shot of our pond with the sunlight lighting up some of the pond vegetation .

You have seen this area before but the Yellow creeper is now opening. If you look back to last year this is where the Orange tipped Butterfly was spotted.

The rest are Tulips.
