Returns to normality this week and two cracking interviews-Deborah Meaden and Alan Dale(24) really talented ,confident and friendly people.No aggro at all in the interviews and some useful info.
Tim was deported from NZ for reasons unknown!

Not sure where Tim Shaw got the clip but he played another radio station's version of 'reverse charge' in the 9am hour - Kate gasped!

Tim Shaw's right - he's been ripped off, big style.

My favourite 'reverse charge' was Kate's call to best friend Alison Hammond - Alison's so lovely & genuine - she was really concerned!

Just watched a recording of last night's show.

Alex Zane's wind-up was funny for once & he may have deserved his gong but it looks like the audience vote is 'shared' out during the series.

Tim Shaw filmed hell of a lot for his segment as 'Mr Inappropiate' but it looks like much was not shown. I remember him telling Kate about asking politically-charged questions to Chantelle Houghton & Bianca Gascoigne! - he told Kate he asked Chantelle her opinion on the West Lothian question!!! - over Kate's head as well, but still funny.

I thought 'Militant Black Guy' was really funny - especially the alert sound & look on his face.

Not sure where Tim Shaw has been but Kate has been presenting Kerrang!'s 'The Morning After' on her own for the last two days - & doing a fine job of it.

Kate said she was celebrating St Georges Day yesterday with Producer Lucy & Singing Travel Girl Henry walking around Birmingham city centre giving out England flags!

BIRMINGHAM DJ Tim Shaw has been suspended following a complaint to Ofcom.

The controversial breakfast show presenter on Kerrang! radio was taken off air this week pending an outcome of an inquiry by the communications industry regulator.

It is understood the complaint centres on a listener competition.

Details were outlined in an anonymous letter to the Birmingham Mail, which was then passed on to Kerrang!.

Shaw, aged 33, was suspended on Tuesday and was called to a meeting with senior management on Wednesday afternoon.

The DJ, who has previously been linked with a string of elaborate stunts, said he hoped to be able to return to his high-profile job.

"I have an explanation, but my priority is making sure things are OK at work," he said.

"I don’t want to appear to be someone who goes to the press before speaking to Kerrang!"

A Kerrang! spokeswoman confirmed: "Tim Shaw has been suspended pending the result of an investigation into an allegation received by the station."

The station's stance was confirmed by programme director Gordon Davidson, although he could not put a timescale on Shaw’s suspension.

"We are carrying out an investigation," he said.

An Ofcom spokeswoman said: "We have received a complaint about a competition on Kerrang! and we are investigating."

Kerrang!, based at Lionel Street in the city centre, would not say how listeners entered the competition at the centre of the probe, but said they did not have to dial a premium rate telephone number.

Shaw presents the station’s Morning After breakfast show with his co-host, former Big Brother winner Kate Lawler.

She told listeners he was off-air on Wednesday because he was "celebrating St George’s Day on his own". Yesterday, Lawler simply said he was away.

In 2005, Shaw was suspended by Kerrang! for staging a mock burglary at the Sutton Coldfield home of former programme director Andrew Jeffries, spraying the living room wall with obscene graffiti.

Later that year, it was alleged that his wife Hayley sold his £25,000 Lotus sports car on eBay for 50p in revenge for his on-air flirting with glamour model Jodie Marsh.

Shaw opened his heart to the Birmingham Mail in February about his "rapid descent into hell" as a former drug user who stole from his mother.

Nope, don't think Kate said that - she DJ-ed in Torquay at the weekend; she said she was appalled & even frightened by the 'chav' behaviour of the locals - yes, I know she hails from Beckenham!

Anyway, I say hmm... to this Tim Shaw story - who knows?
Maybe a certain guideline regarding a competition was breached? - but he just loves to tell Kate about his notoriety within the radio industry - Kate usually files her nails.

On a serious point, Kate is doing a good job without Tim Shaw at the moment but we expect to hear him bellowing his introduction any day now. To be fair, Kate will be glad to have him back but she's done the show on her own for four days & going back to the 'sidekick' role doesn't do it for me.

One of Kate's best shows on her own today: she couldn't care less about computer games , but apparently something called 'Grand Theft Auto IV' was out on ps3 today.
Kate made the point about computer games being meaningless & pathetic - which they are.

Kate, however, got stuck in & played Grand Theft Auto IV with the geek Kerrang! brought in.

In your opinion.

I've actually never played a computer game, and I feel that they aren't always a good thing, to put it mildly.

So perhaps my opinion might even be similar to yours - but it's still just an opinion, don't you think?

Of course it's an opinion but are we trailing random posts with "excuse me that's an opinion"these days. (computer games generate hand eye co-ordination in any case-so Kate's wrong-that's my opinion)

Nintendos have been being trialled in classrooms for quite a while now with amazingly good results, particularly in concentration levels. I was speaking to a friend of mine who's a depute head who said that they have been very impressed.

As enjoyable as it is I'm sure it's a lot more hard work wo the absent Tim.Kate the centre bringing in the entourage rather than just the bouncy accolyte.Another Dragon yesterday Peter Jones this time-wouldn't donate to cf even though he was pleasant and is a multi millionaire.Still Kate doesn't try that very often.The local Lamborghini dealership offered a test drive prize which auctioned at 400 smackerroonies.

I'm sure it's very difficult for Kate especially when she couldn't care less about computer games - a lot of people couldn't care less about geek stuff - like yours truly!
Kate said her sister's marriage was ruined by her husband playing X-Box or some other such garbage.

And as for Tim Shaw - we know he's a certified geek - as his obsession with computer games & World War 2 shows.

Kate's approaching doing three weeks on 'The Morning After' without Tim Shaw - big boots to fill - & has done a brilliant job.

Kate's 28th birthday yesterday which made Kate depressed! - but that didn't last long.
Kate's Kerrang! boss, Gordon Davidson, aka 'G-String', as Kate calls him, took Kate & her team out for a birthday lunch yesterday.
Kate ridiculed team member 'nobby' today for excessive eating at the restaurant.

Tim Shaw's considerable shadow hangs over the show, nevertheless, & is a massive influence on Kate with the way she presents, including Kate's take on 'textual intercourse', 'reverse charge' & 'shut-it-nan'.
Kate uses all Tim Shaw's words & phrases(a fact he loves, no doubt) - 'very, very narce', 'winkle', 'Sainsburgs', 'Cadburgs', 'weiners', 'skid Marks', etc.

Kate's looking forward to her birthday party tomorrow - ie the Ibiza celebration in a London club which includes top Ibiza DJs.

Er, those who aren't regarded as 'celebrities', but wish they were, er, aren't invited.

Ah well, & can't be arsed with boring idiots - the Kerrang! Radio website says the 'limited' Simon James & Hill - not quite brummies - & not quite funny - are to present Kerrang's 'The Morning After' - hmmm...

Has Tim Shaw who has been banned for 3 weeks got plans for Kate, maybe in London? - I honestly don't know - but, hey, Kate's charisma is always exciting.

If true, good riddance to 'The Morning After' without Kate - & I hope even those who don't like Kate agree with me.
