A bit of sober reflection to all this palaver.
First of all, with all the rumours circulating about recent events regarding Tim Shaw's sacking from Kerrang!Radio's breakfast show, 'The Morning After' - some people on the internet think this might be a wind-up because this is what Tim Shaw is 'famous for'(throughout the UK's radio industry) - but the fact that the dreaded 'Ofcom' factor has been mentioned in all this more than suggests Tim Shaw's sacking is true - naughty boy.
And lets face it, under the current climate throughout the TV & radio world regarding abuse of audience phone vote competitions, ie massive fines from Ofcom, it's not surprising Kerrang!Radio took strict action.
Interestly, Tim Shaw's Wikipedia says that Tim & Kate's Kerrang!Radio show, 'The Morning After' got Kerrang!Radio's biggest audience figures - don't know if Tim Shaw logged on there to say that!

- or what is said is true.
Anyway, with all that's happened, Kate is there as the 'Drivetime' host at the moment, 4-7pm.
It's only been two days but the 'show' is predominantly rock music tracks with Kate looking like she is only there in a caretaker role - & it looks like 'singing travel girl' Henry is only there to push the buttons - no Lucy, no nobby.
Unlike the first two hours of the 'The Morning After', the Drivetime 'show', at the moment, isn't really a 'show' at all, no structure to it - we only hear Kate after every three or four records - some new ideas are mentioned, but items from 'The Morning After' generally remain like 'I'm NOT a celebrity Get me out of here' & 'Reverse Charge'.
Kate's main priority should always be her career as seriously consided House DJ, as opposed to a 'celebrity' DJ like the ridiculed but rich Peaches Geldof who trades on her fame, etc.
What's funny is Kate as a Big Brother Winner could have been a 'celebrity' DJ, made a lot money, but Kate knew to get true respect on the House scene she needed to work hard, travel all over the UK(& abroad) playing
her music.
One day, Kate will get credit & RESPECT for this.
As for Kerrang!Radio, Kate can't afford to burn her bridges. She's still under contract so when asked to sit on a radio show like the 'Drivetime', no matter how limited the format is she's given is, she should be professional & do the job to the best of her ability.
It looks like Kate's boss Gordon Davidson had tensions with Tim Shaw because of his style & attitude, but Kate should treat people as she knows them. Kate might have a good relationship with Gordon Davidson - we don't know.
Who knows? As Rince says, it looks like Kate's tenure at Kerrang!Radio is nearly over, & maybe Kate should look to move on now, but Kate will do herself no harm in the radio industry if she presents a show she's been asked to while under contract.
Kate has DJ gigs in Sweden/Latvia at the end of the month so will be away, is due for a holiday in the summer, will be in Ibiza at certain times , & hinted a few months ago that she will be in Australia at the end of the year for DJ-ing gigs - so mainstream media opportunities, though important, will not be the be-and-all for her.
