I didn't see any of Britain's Got Talent last year. Was on holiday when it started, etc.

On another Big Brother forum, I hadn't a clue what people were on about when they were saying they'd prefer to watch 'BGT' to BB.

Having seen a fair bit of the first episode of the new series tonight, I can see why people loved it.

I laughed, and I cried. (If anyone saw the end, they'd probably know why). It's always good for me to see Ant and Dec, and love-him-or-loathe-him, Simon Cowell IS watchable.

I'll be watching more of it. ()^

I must admit, I have never watched this. I didn't realise Ant and Dec were on it. I always like to see them, and I agree, Simon Cowell is watchable, even though I don't always agree with what he says!

Britain's Got Talent: Cheeky Monkeys play pranks behind the scenes
EXCLUSIVE - JOKERS RILE RIVAL ACT BEFORE SHOWDOWN

By Kate Jackson

Britain's Got Talent kids Krista Hyatt and Charlie Dixon have been acting up to their stage name by being Cheeky Monkeys behind the scenes.

The little scamps, put through to the grand final on Tuesday night, have been creating mischief by playing tricks on their rivals, martial arts duo Strike.

"We've been ringing their hotel room up and saying, 'Hello room service'," confessed Krista, nine.

"We put a piece of paper saying £10 room service under their door and knocked and ran away."

Charlie, eight, says Strike's Daniel Ball, 22, and Liam Richards, 19, have been using them as weights.

He said: "We've been helping them do their exercises too. They've been exercising with us on them."

It is thanks to their new best friend, judge Simon Cowell, that the rock 'n roll act are through to Saturday's big finale. "I think Simon's really, really, really nice," said Charlie, who goes to Laneshaw Bridge primary school in Colne, Lancashire.

"Everyone calls him Mr Nasty, but he isn't, he's just telling the truth."

And they both like his fellow judge, TV's Piers Morgan, for his funny comments.

"He says, 'I'm diggin' you right now bro'," giggles Krista, who goes to Park primary school, also in Colne, Lancashire.

The pair, who only started dancing together a year ago, admit they are best friends - but sometimes fight like brother and sister.

And one thing's for sure - Simon Cowell got it totally wrong when he asked Krista if Charlie was her boyfriend. But Krista says she HAS got a boyfriend and she hopes he will be watching and rooting for her on Saturday.

Not that Charlie's bothered. "I've got a girlfriend," he boasted. "I did have two, but now I've just got one."

Maybe cheeky isn't the word for this little monkey...

Krista On Charlie: He's good to be around because he can be really dramatic and funny. For instance he does opera singing sometimes and that's really funny.

But sometimes he can get a bit stressy if he's in a bad mood and then we fight. His only annoying habit is that sometimes, when we don't want him to sing, he sings really loudly. If he wasn't going to be a dancer when he grows up, he'd be a hairdresser.

Charlie On Krista: She's really nice and funny. I'm not sure about her most annoying habit, but she does chew gum loudly. And she can be a bit stressy sometimes.

I think she would like to be a hairdresser but what she really wants to do is dance. If we won Britain's Got Talent, we both want to go on holiday to California and see Hollywood. And we want to meet the people from High School Musical.

Simon Cowell won TV's battle of the egos on Tuesday night as Britain's Got Talent attracted 8.8million viewers. Sir Alan Sugar's The Apprentice had 6.5million and Gordon Ramsay's The F Word only managed 1.1million in the same slot.

A TV source said: "Sir Alan was no match for BGT. It will be one of the most watched shows of the year. The winner will be an instant star."

Piers Morgan Signs ITV Deal

Former Daily Mirror editor and Britain's Got Talent judge and former Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan has signed an exclusive two-year deal with ITV, it has been confirmed.

Morgan's golden handcuffs deal is the first signing by ITV's director of television, Peter Fincham, since he took office earlier this month.

As part of the deal Morgan will continue as a judge on hit show Britain's Got Talent for at least two more series and front a new chat-show.

He will also make a number of interview specials, as well as three more documentaries from various countries along the lines of his recent programme about the UK playground of the rich, Sandbanks in Dorset.
